I was born in Northern Ireland and I'm 34. I've lived in England for nearly half of my life. My Mum is a catholic from the south of Ireland and my Dad was a protestant from Northern Ireland. I can tell you these things as fact. 1. Not one person in England who doesn't have direct contact with Northern Ireland gives a fraction of a fuck about whether it belongs to Britain, Ireland or becomes independent. 2. All of this talk sounds childish and redundant to people who weren't born in the North. 3. It is becoming increasingly irrelevant. So wise the fuck up and stop looking like retarded backwards unintelligent scum bags. Have some self respect.

The legacy of the troubles will continue to haunt us for some time to come. Paramilitary violence, on both sides, is still really common. Also, I personally believe that most families close to the violence at the time generally have deep psycological issues as a result, which in turn causes their kids to have issues. Take a look around, the kids are stupid, the young adults are either apathetic or (in the case of the loyalist youths) get worked up over something as stupid as a flag, and the adults who lived through the troubles are all bitter cunts. Throw in all the other fuckin madness that goes on here (UDA drug operations, dissident republican violence, punishment shootings from both sides, general poverty...) all while Sinn Fein and DUP are constantly capitilising on the troubles, beating their secterian drums for political gain. So yea, I can see why growing up like that would make someone bitter.

Derk Berk thats because britain is trying to forget the atrocities that they caused so they dont teach the youths of britain about the troubles and the on going conflict in the north. Its basically forgotten land they dont care about anyone they dont even care about the people fighting to keep northern Ireland under british control and if you think I support the people fighting to keep the north under british control youre wrong I hate every single one of those cunts I think Ireland should be united atleast no one up the north will be forgotten even if they are unionist protestant vermin.

Michael Mcbratney Im not British because I was born in Ireland. I wasnt born in Britain. My Granddad was born here in the exact same area as me in a UNITED IRELAND! He was born before this little line/border was drawn. So does that make him Irish and me not because he was born first? Before the England decided to oppress and draw this border illegally? Bullshit fella. All of a sudden a line was drawn 90 years ago and that makes everyone here British now does it? What about before that? Your 'fact' is so flawed and even if you're trying not to be ignorant, you are being very that! Ignorance of the highest order! Think about it.

That's funny, because like in the song, I was born in Belfast, and I'm Irish. I hold an Irish passport, and I am a citizen of the island of Ireland. A friend of mine met Jun Tzu in Voodoo in Belfast city centre last night, actually. Thankfully he's not as ignorant, or narrow minded as you. I've an autograph and copy of his album "The Troubles" sitting on my desk right now.

thought the same thing, til I watched documentary on him the lyrics are a story of a bigot , here a quote from him “I believe my music can bridge the gap between the two communities in Northern Ireland. There is still a very clear divide but people from both sides will hopefully find common ground through my observations and beliefs. My music is influential because it is real. I have shared my soul, exposed my beliefs and want to remind my generation of the dangers of mindless bigotry.”
