Someone tell me differently, I thought all hiboys had a divorved transferase. i know mine did.

I like the way you painted the front inner fender wells to look like the original galvanized. Most every restoration I see they always paint them black.
@cj7fun5792 жыл бұрын
WOW! Nice Restoration. I really like the upgrade to the power steering and with A/C! Now I really miss my 76 F250 High boy that I used to have.

What size motor is in your truck
@tomcat428cj3 жыл бұрын
In 1977.5, Ford began attaching the transfer case directly to the transmission, which required a shorter front driveshaft, and allowed Ford to have the proper clearance to lower the truck, and it’s center of gravity. www.blueovaltrucks.com/ford_articles/the-ford-highboy-f-250/#:~:text=The%20term%20%E2%80%9CHighboy%E2%80%9D%20has%20been,conversions%20of%20a%202WD%20chassis.&text=The%20end%20result%20was%20a,a%20higher%20center%20of%20gravity. The F-250’s built from 1977.5 and later are referred to as a “Lowboy” because they sit lower than the 1977. www.ford-trucks.com/articles/ford-highboy-definitive-guide/

Outstanding job!!!!! Thank you for saving her. She needs to be driven everyday. I think with all that work and love into it. Its priceless. And if you ever wanted to sell it. Take her down to Texas. I bet it be sold with in a hour. In my Sci-Fi book. The person who is based on me. Has a 1968 4x4 that was bought in Houston. And his 6x times grandfather. Who starts a aerospace company. Stockpiles the parts. To keep the truck as new as possible. And the truck is passed on from Father to son. With a promise to keep her. As new as possible. With a few mods allowed. If I found a F-150 but the motor is gone. But the body in excellent condition. And I had a 2020 totalled F150. 4X4 I would use the wrecked 150 as a source of parts. And put the modern engine and transmission. Sure some fabrication might be needed. But it sure would be awesome!!!!!

Awesome job on an awesome truck. What exhaust is that and do the tires hit the headers? I have a 73 F250 4x4 428 and she needs new headers, I wouldn't mind getting the "outside the frame" type. Who makes those headers/
@greggarvin53457 жыл бұрын
Karl Jay. They do hit I wish I would have gotten a different offset rim
@445fear66 жыл бұрын
His parts won't fit your FE. Mad dog made some fenderwells a few years ago for highboys but has since discontinued them. Afaik there's none available. Have to build them yourself

my boy friend is working on his 1975 f-250 and is having wiring problems. The starter wont disengage, and moving the shifter engages it. What do you think he should do?
@nicholasmarino177 жыл бұрын
Lexie DeTienne did he look into replacing the starter solenoid. Quick fix if that is indeed the problem. Normally $20 at any local parts store. For future reference LMC truck had great detailed catalogs full of parts for your truck,
