Drummers go crazy for Copeland, but ordinary listeners are just listening to the song. He's very skilled but frankly he overplays sometimes and it borders on distracting from the song. If he left about 50% more space, instead of playing licks over every bar of music, the songs would sound even better. Just an opinion
