Those walmart combo kits... Cheap and great for learning to cast. Set some cans out in your driveway and learn to cast to them.

@@AllWaterGuides well I found two papers, one, from 1985, sets out an equation and shows the differences in different taper lines. Fascinating. It’s counterintuitive until you read the explanation and then it makes total sense. Thanks I learned A LOT from this video!

This time of the year do you ever pic up any white bass, back in the day 20yrs ago we used to catch em about a 1/2 mile down from Imperial drive floating down to that small dam.

Great video! Not only was the info good, you could tell you had fun doing it. Good reminder about a net, as its hard to lip a bass with a 9' fly rod without putting a 'candycane bend' in the tip- which breaks fly rods. Thanks for the vid....
