In the case of the long shaft, it is not spray welding, it is thermal spray. This is a good use of flame spray polymers; Nylon 11 most likely. The laser is laser cladding, not "spray welding".

Thank you for catching that James. You are correct - we are flame spraying the polymer and laser depositing on the second application.
