Hi guys love your video , we are thinking of going down to Kyushu in Oct for about 10 days . some quickies - 1. Is driving there safe and easy , with all the signages in Japanese ( we don't speak jap ) ? 2. Does Waze work in the area ? 3. how much is the KEP pass ? 4. for parking do they use a cash card or credit card ? 5. Is this a good route - from Fukouka , Nagasaki , Kamumoto , Beppu , Youfuin , to Fukouka again ? 6. what car is good , safe , economical ? 7. if one is to stay for 2 days - which one is more activity scenic - beppu or youfuin ? 8. is there a tourist / English frenly local app to visit all the attractions in Kyushu ? Two options, either online or at the station you can go to the ticket counter/ticket machine At the time of filming we couldn’t get it at the machine as they only accepted Korean cards so best to go to the ticket counter with a person!

Water pressure was low but we have had a lot worse! And AC worked very well!

Oh! So yes, all bathrooms that have a window always provide a curtain. If it doesn’t you are not in a family hotel hahaha 🤣

What we did was leave the big suitcases at the hotel we stayed at(we asked them and was no problem). As you only need essential stuff for one night, no need to bring everything. We also had people come for one night with everything and they found it a bit of a hassle but had no choice!

We stayed at the 3 star Acoustic Hotel, quite a nice and central place, with friendly staff and very affordable price. At the time of stay it was even cheaper booking the cruise to the halong bay at the hotel compared to many individual booking companies. Awesome!! Hope you have a fantastic time! So usually for 3 weeks it’s a little harder for a realtor as they prefer at minimum 1 month but yeah what gets them excited is 6-12 months or more! We used Beyond Horizon and it was a great experience(sadly our realtor stopped working during our stay). You can always try though. Otherwise we would recommend airbnb(not all buildings allow it but many do for short stay) Or you could consider hotel hopping! 1 week per neighbourhood is a fun way to discover the city and places. Have a great trip!

Sometimes in Thailand you get a great apartment for a price that’s below market price for that building or area. It could be your lucky day but in most cases there are underlying problems or issues and that brings the price down. So always keep your eyes open and ask a lot of questions 😉

For the room itself, we booked through agoda so no service charge but there could be a service charge if you buy additional services or food!

The prices are quite high, was this because of your short term rent? Or were these the "standard" prices?

So short term renting does effect the price, makes it higher but the price they ask is never ever the final price! Always negotiate on price you can easily take 10-20% off and sometimes more. Having said that, we do see a change in the current market as many apartments become more and more expensive.

I see a decent amount of people saying it's decent for the price. That may be true but ANY place that pays / offers discounts for positive reviews is a POS place in my book. It doesn't matter if they are a 1 star hotel or a 5 star hotel, it is unethical at the very least. And ask yourself this, if they are such a great value then why do they feel the need to bribe people for better reviews? Shouldn't that stand out on it's own? Why should an honest business down the street who doesn't do this kind of BS suffer and get fewer bookings because they aren't rated as high because they didn't pay for their reviews? See- doesn't seem so glorious now that you think about it for more than 10 seconds.
