Excellent stuff. I watch these types of videos for the purpose of being more collaborative in negotiating skills. I’m reading a negotiating book by Chris Voss is call” Never split the difference. One of the techniques he talks about is almost exactly like the Amplifier reflections is called a Mislabeles because it causes people to correct you and that’s how hostage negotiator’s gain valuable intel.. if you’re interested in watching a short video on that Amplify reflections- look up Brandon Voss talking about mislabeling. Here is a statement for your double-sided reflection practice. Please share yours in the chat 🙂 "Well, I had these really sharp pains in the side of my head. And then they did a CT scan and everything came back normal. So, I’m like, it’s probably stress. I started taking my blood pressure and noticed it was really high and then in the ER I found out that the doctor that I had retired so then I had to find another doctor. And then she ordered blood work. Some of the things were like Pre-Diabetes, high blood pressure, intermittently high and these are things that run in my family and so it was like a wake up call I think to see those blood work results and it’s like, OK, I need help with trying to get started, trying to get going with some simple exercises like just walking and trying to change my, you know, what I’m eating and try to get some stress relief. If you'd like to practice your "continuing the paragraph" type reflection, please post your response to the following statement in this chat: "I'm feeling pretty frustrated with my progress these past few weeks. I've been really stressed with work so I didn't have time to go grocery shopping or do food prep like I had planned. If only my boss weren't such a jerk."

How would you turn this conversation around? Coach: You miss that after gym glow feeling that you used to get and you can’t wait to get back to it! Coachee: Yeah but I’m so busy now with the two jobs and I just don’t know how I’m going to get across town again. Coach: Well a lot of gyms now offer a live stream option so you can work out at home. Coachee: Yeah but my internet is so slow and besides, I hate trying to watch a screen while I’m exercising, it doesn’t feel right
