As someone who has always considered myself a Christian, this song hits hard. I've been grappling with my faith. Wondering if I really trust in God, or if it's religious ocd. Or if my religion comes from how I grew up and having a life of struggle. I will never judge another person for what they believe, or push my beliefs onto someone else. You never know what someone went through to reach their faith. Sometimes religion helps us pull through. Helps us make sense of the madness and restores hope, optimism, self-improvement, and comunity. (It has brutal negatives too of course, but those aside.) Re-assessing your spirituality can be a scary thing. Letting go of fear and following what you believe in yoir heart. Because that's all we have to go on. In our society and world today, we can only save ourselves. And we have to do something. Improve our technology to help the environment, idk. But we're going to need to look within, and pull together for each other. Because no one is swooping in and saving us unfortunately

This song reminds me of my ex, specifically this summer with him. I stayed with him because honestly the pain of being without him was tragic but I think im ready to let go now because he made me realize hes not worth fighting for. Some people are just too broken and can only fix themselves. they’re supposed to grow before theyre actually able to be in one, but tbh im not exactly happy with the fact that I wont have a future with him lmao so I listen to songs like this to make me feel more hopeful but they also make me kinda sad 💀
