Is that a “Cobain” mustang? Cuz he had the humbucker at the bridge… mustangs have the shorter scale neck. Usually 30 inches (medium jumbo frets) I had a Japanese Sonic Blue Jagstang which was fucking stupid because he had the mustang pick up selector set up however in Mid position it MUTES it. So i ended up taping them into place. But that was my biggest gripe with it. I know they did a sweet Cobain Jaguar (which had a super sleek pick up selection all done by his guitar tech) I really like the JP Mustang basses (jazz and precision pickups) but you lose that kinda punchyness when you take away the mustang pickups, but if you look at the red mustang bass with the pearloid pickguard the pickups look tiny and stupid…. Was thinking of maybe digging it out and putting a thunderbird bridge pickup in it’s place- now that’d be rad
