Just can't listen to this narrator. Let's take a long pause and emphasize the word "MONEY" - every. single. time.

It's sad that a brilliant mind will so quickly deteriorate when the person allows it to dwell on things of a lower nature. It's like the materialistic/hedonistic/distracted, self-centered thoughts corrupt the genius and makes the same person into a wretched and almost unrecognizable ignoramus. It's baffling! Where did the intelligence go, and why does the once mentally active and quick witted person no longer have access to the brilliant thoughts, ideas and insights that previously radiated forth? Can the person reverse the damage and reclaim their acumen?

And it is SO TRUE that our associates will quickly either elevate us or send us into a downward spiral, and they don't even recognize how quickly they deviate from their once strong and admirable character.

This was written in 1914. Around 35/36/37 it says the cruel civilisations are long gone. 25 years later Hitlers Germany was in full swing....and every decade after that had their own forms of cruel societies. Its Ukraine and Israel and Palestine as I write. The history of the human condition, and it's violence and cruelty, is far from over.

Perhaps it's not always what it seems my friend, and that there's more to the story than just the cover of the book.

I adore and admire James Allen writings and work.. He speak of things people avoid daily. We find comfort /security in the kingdom of passion and desire. The body, hence we can't overcome it nor the the world because of instant gratification. Eloquent reading. Thank you wealth book ❤❤❤

America had its USD Gold Standard. Then it went to Silver Standard and eventually devalued the USD. Now the USD is tied to nothing and now we are screwed!! If only we listened to the advice of Andrew Carnegie.

Sound money is never irrelevanr but you need a mind to connect the dots, ideas. Speculation caused by a minority bankers , the same is going on now, but the rug hasnt been fully pulled. An understandjng of American continental banking in the 1800s is also very helpful .. but it isnt really taught but basically silver was a speculative commodity rather than a correct specie, much like bitcoin except now instead of governments playing the game, its everyday people getting drawn into speculation.
