I remember my nan taking me and my sister the first week it opened. My grandparents had a caravan on the site next door and during the 90s they got us a few free passes each summer as the company that owned the theme park owned the caravan site (if memory serves me correctly). Man, it seems like i was always in that place. I also remember going in there during the 80s when all there seemed to be was a few slides and a cafe that was shaped like a ship. My grandfather would give me some 10p pieces to play the operation wolf arcade game that was in the cafe. That obviously must've been before they started construction on the theme park.

@@eaglevp So you remember the zoo? I think that was just before my time. I'm guessing it had to have been 85-86 when my grandfather first took me in there. Like I say, I only remember the boat shaped cafe, a few slides, and some kind of zipline that wasn't working anymore. I think I remember some grey elephant slides too. You could sit underneath them, but they smelled of urine.😂

What's the reason for the buildings demolition? Apart from being very poorly insulated. This can be fixed with modern fire resistant exterior cladding of course.

The local housing association did not want to pay to upgrade them so they had them demolished and the land is still barren.

One of the biggest problems in UK society is the complete disregard of the importance for people to develop intimacy with other people. As a result of people unable to have intimacy in their relationships, individuals will face the rest of their lives in isolation and experience poor quality in their relationships Isolation and loneliness essentially make us realise the world is filled with people who simply just do not care!

Join in others in sending you heartfelt wishes as you go through these difficult changes, caring for someone with dementia takes a lot of strength, we try so hard to keep them at home because we love them. Once she is settled in I know things will start to improve for you both. Soon she will be enjoying the home activities and you will be going out day trips. Bless you for your empathy and sharing your time with people, you are so right, your words are meaningful.

I dont know you personally Keith( Only from KZbin) I have watched a number of your videos highlighting some of your travels with Pat to various locations, the experiences you've shared together will never pass. I join many others in wishing you BOTH the best as you adapt to these changes in life. We will all find ourselves facing challenges as our lives progress, we must continually move forward and hold onto optimism! Must be very difficult Keith, especially knowing and being together so long, and so sad seeing her decline like that, a huge strain on you too all those years of not only dealing with what's happening, but it's also you're partner...I don't think people really know how this feels until it happens to them..at least you can still visit her etc (not the same I know) but you may get a bit of you're life back now, doing things you enjoy etc, while still being part of her life too.....all the best Keith, oh and always enjoy popping into the live streams when I see them up 🙂

I've not done anything on this channel of mine for quite a while now as I stopped flying drones when the laws tightened up.
