Both are amazing Porsches, a friend has a 981 Cayman S and it sounds lovely with PSE. My first experience with Porsche as a kid was a ride in a 964 Turbo ❤

Take a look at tipec.net/ I joined last year, they have regular meetings and a full calendar of events. It's a great community of Porsche owners and membership gets you discounts at a lot of places :)

Contact your local Porsche Centre. I emailed mine and they sorted it all out and sent me the pack, got the Classic number plates a few weeks later.

Nice car! Whats the road tax like on the 3.6? Is it lower than the £795 a year on the 3.8?

Thanks. Yes, it's currently £395 but I think that's been revised to £415 for 2024. Has to be a pre-2006 model for the lower tax from what I remember.

I own a 997.1S and the sound doesn’t seem stock to me. Maybe the mike doesn’t reflect the sound properly.

Interesting. The audio is a fair representation. Given the age there's a good chance the backboxes aren't OEM, I'm intrigued now so will take a further look 👍

Cheers, yeah looks like you're spot on. They're OEM silencers as far as I can tell but they do have the Gundo hack!

Yes it’s a wonderful car but I really do love the 992. The shape of the 992 really “helped” me pull the trigger on my first 911 about 5 months ago. I think the 997 has got an unfair rap.

I see the craftsmanship and I love Singer, but the rear is off to me. It looks like a bodykit. Maybe the rear lights needed a bit wider to visually connect the car to the 'bodykit'. I dunno

The Dash Cam Mini 2 is good but the Garmin Constant Power cable I used in this video (£45) that plugs into the OBDII port doesn't work as expected. It will often keep recording with the ignition off and the key removed, for hours, even when the switch is set to 10 mins. Garmin Product support is awful. I'm still happy with the camera but find a different way to power it.
