So if it's the tax-dodgers that are buying-up the land and subsequently increasing land value as you say, then what's the issue with implementing this inheritance tax? It's still a lower rate than what the rest of us pay on assets over £500k, and married farmers still get at least £3m as the threshold before they even pay a penny. I do also understand the issue of farmers not earning enough, so something definitely needs to be done about the price gouging by supermarkets so that farmers can actually sustain a living. Whilst this solution is not palatable to some small farms who will inevitably be in the borderline area of the new threshold, at least it's closing-down this loophole that's being used by the wealthiest in society, which should hopefully bring down the this artificially inflated value of the land for the future. Essentially, the main culprits of the farmer's woes are the super rich who have created this issue of high land value, coupled with the super rich who own these supermarket chains to price gouge farmers, AND the super rich who convinced the UK and its farmers that Brexit was somehow a good idea.

If you're on universal credit then you don't have a viable business. You need to get a different job or business. Luckily for you, you're in the fortunate position of having millions of pounds in assets, so you can sell some or all of those and have a good life. Many people don't have that luxury.

I believe I'm right in saying that the first national pension, pushed through by Lloyd George, was payable at the ageof 73. The Welshman was furious, but it was the best deal he could get through the Lords. The reason why the government has no money for our pensions, because it's all going on illegal immigrants. Paying hotels, food, Mobile phones and they are not working and paying anything into the system, and they keep coming. So it's going to get worse! Seven million NHS waiting list, I cannot find a NHS dentist for my grandson. I'm not racist or lack compassion, but if we as a country cannot look after our own how on earth can we look after millions of people from other nations? Our kindness is going to destroy our country eventually!!! Plus all this money and arms that's being sent to Ukraine when peace talks would stop death on both sides and the money could be used to strengthen our country, wars need to stop they are breaking us, although big corporate companies are making a fortune at our expense. Why don't they just bring civil servants retirement age up to the rest of the UK's retirement age that way they will save more money and won't need to alter our retirement dates ??
