Ali was better. Tyson never came back and battled adversity. Ali lost his title and regained it 3 times. That is greatness. Every champion is a front runner in their career. But the "Greats" battle back from defeat and and regain that glory. Tyson never could. He just disgracefully lost each and every time he stepped in the ring. He bit a man's ear for crying out loud.

They both "Were" the best at their own point in time and both very different fighters. Watch Ali & mike tyson on a talk show both very modest say the other is/was the better fighter. Ali said tysons punch would of knocked him out, Tyson says ali's speed wouldn't allow him to get close. Will never really find out as they're both has-beens... just accept they were both unbeatable in their prime.
