Great Craig thanks One tiny niggle The electrical socket when the panel is fitted It is not flush to the wall anymore and so I predict plugging appliances into it will be difficult if not impossible . How is this remedied?
@MrandMrsDIYКүн бұрын
That right, if the plug is behind its deeper, we could still use it ok, on the other hand is the socket was removed it could be surfaced mounted over the panels, however we do not advise people to work on there own electrics, you would need to get a qualified electrician to do the socket remounting.

I'm sure you'll learn how to make it if you'll read WoodPrix instructions from cover to cover :)
@Levi-hz2oy3 күн бұрын
Well you have filled up that hole and made it not seen, but the secondary material is not going to be as strong as the original wood though.
@MrandMrsDIY3 күн бұрын
Thats right, it fills it ok and it's not seen which is great, but even better the Wood repair we use will dry stronger than raw original wood in the door.

I need to build an exact stud like that, but my question is how do you damp proof? The timber screwed to the floor as mine might have a garage door behind it on the outside it will be cladding so basically that stud will be built to an outdoor wall. How can I stop them or water getting in under the stud on the floor?
@MrandMrsDIY12 күн бұрын
Its quite tricky, if the outside wall is a solid wall then you may want to build your frame and mount it away from the outer walling on brackets so there is airflow behind it, you may also have to consider if the floor its self has a DPM within it, as the base of your frame could draw up moist if the floor was damp. there a form off rubber base would be required

With this can you put a dart board on it or will it be to heavy?
@MrandMrsDIY13 күн бұрын
Should be able to yes! Just make sure that you've got long enough screws or nails to be able to go through the wall panels, the felt backing and securely into your walls. Thanks

Thanks, good idea to cut out the template. What happens if you need to replace a toilet years later and are not sure of the exact model? It might have a different footprint against the floor and you have to replace a bunch of flooring planks. Could you cut a template to match the flange and have the toilet sit on top of the flooring planks?
@MrandMrsDIY14 күн бұрын
Thanks mate! Yes if you need to change your flooring, you can always either measure the toilet plan or consult a manufacturer to get the specific sizes. And yes you can either put the flooring on then put the toilet on top or install the toilet directly into the concrete boards below, cheers

Hiya Craig my panels I’m gonna be doing are also going onto plasterboard with brick behind but I have to baton my wall out as above the picture rail sticks out further. Do you think I would be able to screw the batons into the plasterboard with plasterboard screws then screw the panels onto the batons 🤔
@MrandMrsDIY27 күн бұрын
Yes you should be able to do that, just have to use a pipe detector to check you don't drill into cables/pipework etc, then make sure your wall is level before you put your wall panels on. Cheers
