I have found Rain Buster 900 to be the best all-around exterior adhesive sealant there is. It's a solvent-based polyurethane caulk that remains flexible with the best adhesion while still being paintable. The only possible drawback is that it requires a skilled applicator.

Don't use this tutorial!!! He hasn't a clue what he's talking about!! There IS a set guide as to where you line the screen up!!!!! You want it so the screen lines up with the inside edge of the bath, so as the water runs down, it runs back into the bath. AMATEUR!!!!!

Great video like your others but its hard to beat tiles most wet wall looks tacky in my opinion unless it's only a small section to half the bathroom that has it
@MrandMrsDIY3 күн бұрын
Yes its a matter of choice, I've always been a lover of tiles, still am, but the UPVC sheets are a quick and cheaper fix for a lot of people, and the designs have improved so much now a days

The problem I have is digging the hole. I got a contractor in who used a petrol auger to dig. He concreted the posts in. The posts rotted and snapped at the base. I decided to dig new holes halfway between the snapped posts. I hit concrete from the original fence. I'm guessing the contractor didn't want to dig out the old posts and dug half way. I tried between the contractors and original and hit a sewer, thick tree root and a random cable. I give in.

Been quoted to resin our drive - £25k been debating whether you can flatten and compact gravel to make it as flat as possible and then apply the seal/resin. For mobility reasons we would need as flat a surface as possible but every quote ever had so far had been extortionate - block paving, resin, tarmac etc
@MrandMrsDIY7 күн бұрын
What sort of meterage would you be covering ?
@Ni_Ni_266 күн бұрын
@@MrandMrsDIYapprox only, as it's not a straight drive, we think it's about 30-40m x 20-25m. We've had to measure in sections (our tape measure wasn't long enough) and the quote was based off those estimates and a photo, as we just wanted an idea for a benchmark Trying to ascertain what's going to be most cost effective, practical but also look decent. We knew it was a large area to cover but was not anticipating those costs 🤦🏼♀️

I have this exact shower and it is leaking even after a complete replacement. The installer has sealed inside the vertical frame where it meets the tiles and inside along the frame where it meets the tray. I have seen multiple videos that say do not seal inside as it traps water. Does the frame need any sealing inside at all? I have already removed some and water trickled out.

Craig re Lifesaver, well it wasn't the next week as I have to travel round trip 120 miles each time, so fitting the shower took some time. We studied your video and had it running alongside us on the day. I tiled over two days, weeks apart and did the enclosure in about 4/5 hours. The instructions were next to useless, just small diagrams, no written helpful tips. It really was fitting parts together and working out why it was not going to fit. I just wish we had a bathroom the size you were working in, we had to lay it out two rooms away and carefully carry it back and forth. Our tray is like the one behind you, raised off of the concrete floor. Having you in the background was perfect. My son often referred to 'Well Craig does it this way'! Great presentation. Many thanks. Norman & Mark

I have an open are that I’d like to conceal using a secret door like this. My question is if I don’t have a door there already, can I treat the panels like a wall? Is it sturdy enough?
@MrandMrsDIY18 күн бұрын
Hi, the panels aren't sturdy enough to class them as a wall. You can put some osb and attach it to your floor and ceiling which should make that sturdy, then you can put the wall slats on the face of it. Cheers

What thinckness would you recommend for going straight over the sub base like you have? Doesnt it need a solid base like tarmac or concrete? Thats what a contractor told me
@MrandMrsDIY23 күн бұрын
It depends one what the surface is used for, if your driving over then it will need a firmer base like tarmac or concrete, or sometime they can use a reinforced grid base below, but its it just a walking path like ours it can be laid direct onto the hardcore if its compacted enough,
