@@francovaderno3532 i wanna hear an argument from you. I don’t see a problem conserving the natural snow for skiing. In fact the compressed snow withstands the sun more than just regular snow. The glacier melts slower because of that and in these altitudes there’s no flora and not really any fauna. Bring some arguments that are stronger than my points.

actually more people (mainly athletes) were practicing at piste 83 and 84, few people doing the longest piste traversing

Zermatt has a larger area, but the ski area will be closed once the weather is not so good (windy, cloudy, rainy). The lower piste from 3400 to 2900 (piste 80 and 73) was closed last summer due to the high temperature, in this case, you can just ski along with the t-bars. Now the lower part is still open but I don't think the snow in the lower part can last for a whole summer, normally early summer should be open. Tignes has a lower altitude and smaller area, but I'd say the snow condition is the same. The Grande Motte cable car is also closed sometimes due to the bad weather but it always has more chance to open than Zermatt. I'd suggest you check the weather forecast and the live piste map on their official websites before going.

@@MrThaibox123 I was at Hintertux early last November when there was a huge snowfall nearly 1m, while I can still remember Zermatt was closed due to the bad weather at that time, there was also strong wind (~60km/h) at Hintertux, the cable car was swinging but still in operation (you can check my video how strong the wind blew). I think early November the glacier resorts in Austria (hintertux, pitztal, stubai, kaunertal, solden, molltaler, kaprun) should be open and are more reliable than Zermatt

Aha, I am actually going summer skiing this weekend to there again. There is no cliff along the piste, while there are always countless glacier cracks, but they are totally off-piste, so it's totally safe if you stay on piste. The piste on glacier is not that hard, I would say the steepest part is hard blue to normal red. If you can keep parallel on a red then it's fine. Plus, this year's snow condition is much better than last year. You can wait and see my new video which is coming in serveral days

@@babypam_08 you can open the map. After doing the 85/84/83, you are at the bottom of the t-bars, then take the t-bars to the top, turn left to take 88 to the Plateau Rosa, then take Glacier Ride II to 3883.

Hi John, thanks! In this video I get started at Gobba di Rollin. To get there, you need to take cable car to Matterhorn Glacier Paradise (3883) and take the drag lift on the left hand side. However, the drag lift normally open in the summer.

​@@JohnRenzoSunico In this case, I highly recommend getting a coach. In the summer, only red pistes are open and they're not for beginners. For summer skiing, Val d'isere and Les 2 alps will open some blue pistes, more suitable for beginners.

Hi Dejan! Now they just open the ski area over 3400m, and mainly we can only ski along a draglift, which is about 1.3km. If you want to ski for 3km from 3900 to 3400, you need to go to Plateau Rosa station to take a cabin, where you need to carry the skis to climb a slope on foot (which is very exhausting at a such high altitude). However, the view was pretty, especially the glacier in a hot summer. If you just want to ski, I would say it's less worthy than the winter. We lived and rent skis at Cervinia, where the price was much cheaper than at Zermatt

@@yinze425 much appreciated. We are there on Sun and will check it out on a day too. So keen to ski for few hours but if conditions remain as per your note it may not be a worthy task. Plan B is to visit Glacier Paradise (on foot) :).

@@dejantomas7253 Yeah hiking around the glacier is also amazing! Actually you can buy a ski pass even if you don't ski. It's multiple and the glacier cable is included
