Where did he stir up drama? Not the John Bonham stories, surely? They're very tame, but from what I can see it's the weirdly fanatical contingent of Bonham uber-fans that tend to fly off the handle at any sort of hint he might taken influence from earlier drummers/albums, or that anyone might have been doing similar things at the time. They're an ignorant cancer on the drumming community. Carmine does have an ego, but the guy is pretty harmless and it's not like he's lying about being a friend and influence on John, helping him get his first ludwig deal, etc.... As far as the solo, 90% of 70s hard rock drummers were very hit and miss soloists.
@jumpingjacks55582 ай бұрын
@@Loskov-my3xw Carmine is usually full of sh*t. He whines and cries bands don't ask him back. He did an interview regarding playing for Rod Stewart. He pissed and moaned he wasn't called back to play the next tour and how much he lost over it. He's just a sad old man thinking everyone owes him something.

Love his playing, but why his left or 2th bass drumm is so far away from his left foot, that would makes the hi hat even more far away. Never understood that one.
Met Deen in 1981 when I was 12. He was in a band called The Enemy. They played in a battle of the bands competition here in Las Vegas were the came in second to my friends band Roadhouse. Personally I thought The Enemy blew everyone away. I was so impressed with his playing I eventually took some lessons from Deen.
