We're playing this in honor band and 4:20 is most definitely the best sounding trombone part ever written

I played this my junior year at an honor band. I got into the top band at WVU and this was my most favorite piece. It was so fun to play and you could just tell everyone was so happy to be there.

Absolutely beautiful. Its lyrical and pleasing without getting boring. It crosses the line between jazz and classical with this almost French impressionism that I personally love (probably due to the open piano voicings). Thank you for your composition.

I don’t blame you. I’m a clarinetist but when I played this piece at a band camp for the first time the trombones just SLAYED that part. I’ll never forget this piece.

This song is by far my favorite in concert band. I wish we had more low brass, the "breakdown" would sound so much cooler. 10/10 song.

I just played this song about a month ago at a high school band camp, and OMG! I fell in love with it the first time we played it. This piece also kinda reminds me of Short Ride in A Fast Machine (if anyone knows what that song is…)

The final “breakdown” (3:50) is probably my favorite part of this piece. The low brass take the stage! The Tuba and Bass Trombone, adding the Euphonium and 1st and 2nd Trombone into it. And later when all the Trombones can just “blast” (4:20), sounds fun! Of the course Tuba, Bass Trombone, and Euphonium are still in the background along with the rest of the ensemble. Anyways this entire piece is awesome. Saw the Clovis Wind Symphony play this a few weeks ago, and it was awesome to hear in person.

I played this just this past weekend for a band camp, and OH MY LORD!!! It was my favorite song, especially 3:50! When that part of the song was played, each section that played stood up to represent the layered music between each section! The brass part BLASTED their hearts out on that part, and I loved hearing it, even though I’m a clarinetist. It was lovely, and I enjoyed every bit of practicing this song!
