This might be too complicated for me. I didn’t get the beginning part how to make my own pattern so maybe you have a basic video for that. I subscribe so I can look back at some of your older videos, but I really want to make a dress like a 1950s style also one that’s got TIKI print or Hawaiian style like a summer print.

You can but just measure the length of your short gown

Turn the lace and cut along the width instead of cutting on the length of the lace . Then you trim out the edges of the lace and sew it on the hem the way I did to the tail of this dress. Hope this helps .
