To those who don't know why the commercial got banned, it's because smoking can cause lung and throat cancer, and emphysema, my grandmother from my father's side died of lung cancer a month before I was born because she had a habit of smoking for years, and that's why you should never give out cigarettes on Halloween, because smoking is really bad

It wasn't the cigarette stuff that made me realize it was fake (everyone knows that cigarette commercials have been banned from TV since the very early Nixon years). It was the prominent display of copyrighted candy brands, like Snickers, Dove, and Milky Way. There are special rules about when and how advertisements can openly display the names and livery of their competitors, and there's no way that the montage of candies falling in slow-motion would comply with those rules.
