Phil Schiller really was amazing at keynotes. The passion and excitement he radiated was positively infectious. Everyone's reaction to the next-gen MacBook Pro was amazing. I miss this special connection with the audience at Apple's live events.

Too expensive for them ;)
@XwD775 ай бұрын
@@KabelkowyJoe I don't think it's down to a cost issue - the production value on the current keynote videos do not look cheap either. I think it's more down to firstly, they feel the new format is a better experience, and second that it mitigates risks of live tech failures happening on stage which would ruin the presentation.
@KabelkowyJoe5 ай бұрын
@@XwD77 It was sacrasm, "better experience" are you kidding "live tech issues" - you mean helps to LIE about products being flawless such as iPhone 4 which was BADDLY designed for that reason Apple had to give case for free, so you acually found reason why to not give a damn about their current presentations and just wait until reviewers review products

42:00 11 years later and many Macs still have 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage in the base models. Thanks Tim Cook!
@nath-wp7xp8 ай бұрын
In fairness in 2012 it was for the top of the line laptop whereas now it’s for the base model. Although I do agree with your fundamental point that 8gb RAM and 256gb of storage as standard in the base model is ridiculous.

almost 10 years later, I still use the 128GB 11-inch macbook air, the way it stands the test of time is just fascinating to me, and the fixing that it needs throughout those years were just cleaning the dust out of the laptop, changing thermal paste, and changing battery which is really easy to DIY. Now, 2022, I'm about to start uni soon, it's time for me to really really get a new one and put this one to rest, I'm about to get the new Macbook Air M2, finger crossed it would serve me as well as this one did.
