We fell in love with String Cheese back in August 1997 when you played three days at the Fountain Plaza Stage at the Oregon State Fair around the food court. Our friend Jason video taped the show you got copies along with photos of kids dancing on the small stage. We went to lots of Oregon shows, greatest memories of Wild Duck in Eugene...We started our video crew in 2000 with a crew from Eugene. Very Grateful and Thankful for all the early Cheese shows. You inspired us to video tape lots of bands.

🖐🏽. Yep. Remember fillers? When trading dead tapes, if there was still room on the tape people would include a “filler”. It could be a few choice songs from the same band, or it could be of a different band. That’s how I first heard of Sci. Few songs at the end of a gd tape. I still remember it. There was a version of little hands w/ Darryl anger. I was instantly hooked. Good memories

I’ll never forget being at the Beach in Vegas for AT40 and smoking a J with my friends and Travis getting in on it. We were stage right with Bassnectar and Kang playing a set. So unforgettable.

Heard cheese live for the first time last year for the Asheville run!! Two months later I found myself in red rocks for 3 nights!!! 5 months later I was in Oakland for 3 nights!! 2 weeks ago beech mountain NC!! 3 weeks from now back to red rocks!!! To say anything less than I am absolutely obsessed would sell myself short, they are the most incredible group of musicians that I have followed, my all time favorite band and absolutely the best live shows and crowd! I was accepted into the cheese family with open arms, and now anytime I meet a new fan, I do the same❤❤ there is nothing in this world better than being part of the SCI Family!!!! See everyone at the rocks!!!🧀🧀🧀🍄💚🍄💚🍄💚🔥🔥🔥

Hah, that's awesome. I was at those shows in Steamboat and couldn't believe I was watching James Brown! It was so fun. Does anybody who stayed on site remember the car alarm honking for hours and hours before a team of people somehow got into the car, popped the hood, and disconnected the battery? The whole campground cheered, haha. Fun times.

I have my djembe set on an upside down stool. Not the most effective way to put a djembe in a stand, but that’s what being a percussionist is about: trying things that may work and things that may not work.
