A true engineering and visual work of art. And he is correct. The scale version propeller adds so much.

One of the bloopers shows had what happened afterwards. Jim Nabors made a face of disgust. The Season 1 DVD set had an interview of him describing the haircut. He claimed that the back of his neck was bleeding. The haircut was probably one of the most disliked parts.

I never cared for Jim Nabors, but this has to be one of the funniest things I have seen in any of the Gomer Pyle episodes. I could not stop laughing! 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

My uncle was a barber for the Marines back in the 60s and 70s. He would tell me stories of the huge manes of hair he had to shear off. Some of the recruits cried, but their heads were shaved clean whether they liked it or not. My uncle and the other barbers referred to it as Dipping Hippies!

When me and a buddy went in at Bragg the barber asked him if he wanted his sideburns which were chops. He said yes and the barber laid them in his hands after they were whacked off.

Love this show. Only Gomer Pyle could have played this part. Luv when he was telling the Barber how Floyd back home cut his hair. They don't make shows like this anymore.

Does anyone know of 'how to' videos to machine each of the parts for this 9cyl radial engine. I would be willing to purchase them if necessary. The quick glances of machining I have found on you-tube are great, but not enough for me to do it
