Well, one persons "too digital" is another persons clarity. To me it's more the latter and that clarity is what I like about it. I can always warm it up by rolling off around 16k, add a little saturation and boom. Nice warm analog-ish sound. Goes well with my analog synths to round things out.

I remember that AVENGER2.0 has sound preview when I click it, but why is there no sound when I click it, and I still need to press the keyboard to make the sound? Have you turned off the automatic preview sound?

can sequences be modified? e.g. change drum sounds in the drum track of a sequence, change/modify the arp in synth track, add and remove effects, modulate effects etc? or are the sequences locked, or partially locked (meaning you can maybe change the drum sounds but cant edit drum notes/midi etc or for instance you can modify filter on the synth arp and use it live but you cant edit the arp itself e.g. change/modify notes inside the arp etc)? thanks. subbed.

Drum Sounds in Drum Tracks: You can change the drum sounds within a drum track in Nexus, provided that the sound is part of the preset or sample selection. However, you can't usually modify individual drum notes (i.e., you can't edit MIDI data within the sequence itself unless you load the sound into a separate track in your DAW and edit it there). Arpeggiator (Arp) Modifications: While you can modulate parameters like filters or effects on the arp, Nexus doesn't offer full MIDI editing within the arpeggio itself. This means you can't change the notes of the arp directly inside Nexus, but you can modify the sound or modulation applied to the arp. Adding/Removing Effects: Nexus allows you to add and modify effects within the interface, but, again, these are applied to the preset. You can adjust filter settings, modulation, reverb, delays, etc., directly on the synth, but you're still limited to the effect slots available within the preset architecture. Modulating Effects: You can modulate certain effects in Nexus 5, using LFOs, filters, and other modulation options available in the plugin, but again, the sequence or arpeggio pattern itself is generally "locked" in terms of MIDI or note-level editing.

@ wow, thanks for the detailed explanation. so, in conclusion: sequence presets can be slightly modified (e.g. you can sweep the filter on the arp up and down, you can play with reverb or any other effect that is already in the sequence preset, but you cant edit drum pattern or the arp on the synth track). you can turn on/off elements of a sequence preset (e.g. hihats on/off, pads on/off, entire drum track on/off)… but, one more question, can you swap tracks inside a sequence preset between sequence presets, e.g. take drums track from sequence preset A and swap it with drums track in sequence B? im guessing not, but im hopin yes. lol. thank you!
