I didn't know Martin Miller until this morning. You introduced me to him. I heard something and have to work on it to understand his equipment. Watch this video kzbin.info/www/bejne/bmW1qmpnj8xmZtk Unfortunately, it is in Italian, but the translation should be quite faithful if you use the KZbin subtitles. I promise I will work on it, and maybe in a few months, we can compare our sounds.

Want to know how I made the video? Adobe Premiere and Photoshop. I made the preset with Hotone, Presonus audio card, studio monitors (JBL), Beyerdynamic headphones. Guitar: Fender Stratocaster (HSH). Finally, I test all the presets directly on the mixer in my rehearsal room. The mixer and speakers are RCF.

Great iRS had fun with them...... however after saving a preset using the ir when i go to create a new present with a diferent ir and save it saves all presets with the new ir , so cant you save different irs to different preset slots
@gianninativo26 күн бұрын
If you use a Delay, Reverb, or Overdrive that you like on the GP-200, it has a well-defined position. Likewise, when you load an IR, it will have a unique position that your presets point directly to. You can delete, move, and rename IRs, but you have to be careful because your presets will no longer find them. IRs on Valeton have a specific slot, and if you change anything, your presets will not work. I hope that was clear enough. Thank you for the comment.

Thank you very much ! This is exactly what I've been looking for. These sound really good with my 1972 Guild F212XL with a Fishman pickup. I'm only beginning to learn how to use the Valeton GP-200, so your step by step signal chain instructions are very helpful.

Are you using the volume pedal as a swell to create the harmonica sound?
@gianninativoАй бұрын
I use the Shure potentiometer. If you use a different microphone the Volume pedal can help you to pump up the sound. If you put the volume before the amplifier you can also manage the gain.

You are right. I stopped at Ampero one and am focusing on Valeton. The shorts on the channel have a lot of ideas, see if you find something. If you are interested in a particular artist, write it in the comments and I will try to satisfy you. If you are looking for ambient sounds, write it here in the comments and I may make more.

The Phaser/Univibe on the hotone (I Have the Ampero 2 stomp) is the best effect on that thing by far.
@gianninativoАй бұрын
univibe and Phaser are not my favorite effects, so I take what you say at face value. Ampero's Univibe (one and II) seems better than Valeton and Line6. My favorite is on the latest Boss pedalboards.

Hi and thanks for your input. It only takes 2 minutes to create this preset. It's pretty similar, you just need to adjust the EQ a bit to make it work with your system. Some of my videos were removed just by trying to play the preset for a few seconds. So I'd rather have you listen to one of my songs and download my IRs for free.

Jeffie didn't use a compressor And he turned the bass DOWN....... There should be an octave divider, btw As for a dirt pedal, just get a J.Rockett Archer (Jeff)
@gianninativoАй бұрын
Hello, and thanks for the comment and advice. You won't find "exactly" the chain of individual musicians on the channel's videos, but the way to get closer to their style using digital pedals (Hotone, Valeton, Moeer etc.). I put a compressor to compress the dynamic range and increase the sustain even for those who don't have Jeff's splendid "touch".

Gianni, attivare-disattivare i pedali dist non fa quasi differenza... Mi perdo qualcosa?
@gianninativo2 ай бұрын
You should really do sound sample of these settings you publish, even if it's just 30 seconds, just as a taster. To me, this setup wouldn't work. The classic setup is with Treble Booster in the front, a dash of chorus/phaser to thicken the tone slightly dependant on what era of Queen you're trying to replicate. Without copying these settings, I can almost guarantee it will sound lifeless compared to the tone you are trying to achieve here.
@gianninativo2 ай бұрын
Thanks for the comment. Posting the audio sample wouldn't be much help because the sound would change depending on the playback device. I created this sound by working on an isolated track, trying to get close but not wanting to get the perfect Brian May sound. Instead I tried to find his approach to guitar playing, without recreating the exact Queen sound. There are more examples of Brian's style on the channel (Hotone Ampero) and I will create more. My intent is still to recreate sounds that sound like the originals, reproduced with cheap pedals and that give inspiration to try and learn to create your own sounds. However, your contribution will certainly be an incentive for many users who are trying to recreate the exact Brian May sound. Thanks

@@gianninativo I'm afraid I have to disagree with you on what you have said. A sound sample goes a long way as it gives people an "impression" of where the tone is or could go. I have used other people's interpretations of many artist tones having been guided by the sounds recorded for KZbin. It's that sound guide which has determined whether I have a go using those settings or not. I understand what you are saying when it comes to different sound equipment, but most record direct to PC for these types of videos. Most people understand that you would need to adjust the settings for a live sound.
@gianninativo2 ай бұрын
Thanks again for the comment and the right advice. For the moment I have a lot of material ready and I don't have time to record the sounds too. Listening, playing, editing the video and publishing takes too much time. I think that in the future I will also start making some recordings to listen to together with the tutorial.

Hi Gianni. Excellent set of videos. Thank you. Do you have two expression pedals with one being volume and one being the Wah or is your Wah setting like an AutoWah? Cheers.
@gianninativo7 ай бұрын
Hello and thank you for taking the time to watch my videos. I use a Morley wah pedal right after the guitar, and while the GP-200 wahs are quite good, I only use the Valeton expression pedal as a volume pedal. I also like to use an external EQ and two overdrives which I use as both boost and distortion. But in the GP-200 you have everything you need and if you add an expression pedal you have more tools at your disposal. I use the A-Wah effect for some rhythms and on some lead sounds and never as a replacement for a real Wah.
