The heal over several weeks sounds to me like you're cutting them off. Would it cause less pain if they froze them off with cryotherapy are electrocautery? Years ago I had hemorrhoids removed with a laser that bought me three weeks of the most horrible pain I ever had in my life ever

Tips and information for recovering from Hernia Surgery if you live alone. These are things you should do before you leave the house to go for surgery. Cook and prepare a week’s worth of meals and snacks before surgery. Meals that will be easy to pass through your digestive system. Things like vegetable soup with beans, carrots, celery…, oatmeal with prunes, egg salad, chicken salad, steamed carrots and broccoli, asparagus… low fat and low grease type foods. Snacks like apples, oranges, *ripe* bananas, all kinds of fruits are good to keep things moving. Start taking a stool softener one or two days before surgery and then continue taking it when you get home. Place something next to your toilet you can grab onto to help you get on and off the toilet. Do the same for your bed and other areas you may sit. Have toothpaste, toothbrush, and floss out and ready to use. A glass of water to rinse your mouth out. You’re not going to be able to bend over to _cup water_ in your hands. If you don’t already have a _grabber,_ get one. Do not take your phone to surgery. Leave your phone at home on your nightstand and fully charged. Have on hand at least two ice packs that you can wrap a clean cloth around to put over the location of surgery and rotate them from the freezer as needed. This will keep the swelling down. Read your after surgery instructions and follow them. Listen to your doctor and follow his/her orders. Keep the wound area clean and clean it with an antibacterial soap every morning and again before you go to bed at night. The next day get up and walk but be careful. I walked outside around the cul-de-sac four times a day starting the day right after surgery. Twice in the morning, once in the afternoon, and then again in the evening. Have clean sheets on your bed. Wear loose fitting clothes. Have plenty of water and Gatorade on hand and before you leave for surgery place a few bottles on your nightstand, computer desk, kitchen table, kitchen counters, your television chair, and in your refrigerator. Drink plenty of liquids. At least four bottles per day. Take pain medication as needed but don’t over do it. All pain medications can cause constipation. A thermometer on your nightstand. A list of movies you may want to watch. I can’t sugarcoat this for you. The first three days are going to be tough so be ready. It gets easier on your fourth day. Good luck and I hope this helps.

So you're asked to sign a form asking whether or not you're allergic to the contrast dye and if you need a beta blocker? How the hell would an average person know this? Is this then a waiver of responsibility for them if there is a complication?
@moshedayan2810
@moshedayan2810 Ай бұрын
Beta blockers are used to keep the heart rate below 70 bpm.. Most people can tolerate it... As for the allergy to the contrast, you won't know you are allergic to it unless it's inside you😂.. They should carry out a test a day or two before the scan to check if you are allergic to the contrast

I live in U.S.A, i have had pain in my lower right abdomen after a day out shopping with my granddaughters. That was almost a year ago. Doctors here no longer perform physical exams, they send you for test. The test did not reveal anything, it could not even find my appendix. When the pain gets bad i can't stand, nor get relief lying down, but my doctor said well nothing was found!

Well, the four hernia surgeries that I’ve had over the past 15 years have caused the difficulty of urinating and constipation, which have caused what is called pelvic floor deficiency. So I have to go to all those specialist and they just tell you to take some over-the-counter medication to the go to the bathroom doesn’t sound like an educated solution coming from a surgeon like yourself. I really wish you would go back to the drawing board and figuring out how. We can resolve all of this. Without taking a medication that really just screws up more than fixing

I had a 48-hour Bravo monitor placed which was supposed to leave my body after four days. Unfortunately, mine has been in me for 11 days now with no sign of leaving. They took an x-ray a few days ago and it's still hooked to my esophagus. When will this thing leave, I do not want to be put under again and have another endoscopy to remove it. No one ever motioned the pain and that this could happen, if so I never would have agreed to this procedure!

@@JG-hh5rp I haven't had that procedure yet, but am planning to do it. I have, however, had several CT scans with contrast for a different reason and they were pretty simple and nothing to be scared about. You do get a warm sensation from the contrast but it's not uncomfortable or anything and only lasts a short while, maybe a minute. CT scans are pretty fast typically, much shorter than an MRI, although an MRI does not have ionizing radiation. Just ask any questions and bring up any worries as you go, the people I talked to were more than happy to answer questions.

On a practical note, ANY two ply tp and a pea sized amount of ANY body lotion, wipe and repeat until paper is clear will leave you feeling clean and fresh with no need for personal cleansing cloths or a bidet. Soothes hemorrhoid symptoms too. Be nice to your butt. Field tested for 18 years.
@Amy-ms6wj
@Amy-ms6wj Ай бұрын
Then why does the rest of the world use water or a bidet? Why are we pretty much the only ones using toilet paper, and taking down SOOOOOO many trees for butt paper? Absolutely unnecessary when we have perfectly good water, and perfectly good bidets that have adjustable pressure levels, and they even came out with personal bidets. Which both can and SHOULD be washed daily or every other day to avoid parasites if used by multiple people, and washed every other day regardless...because, gross, why not? Toilet paper does not get everything out. Go a few hours and then check your butt with a wet wipe. Or check your butt in the shower. I guarantee there is leftover poop, or you are feeling leftover grit in the shower 🤮 It's just not enough, and it's really disgusting. And putting lotion on your butt? 'any kind' sooo and kind of scented is okay? Allergenic is okay? There are so many lotions that can and will cause reactions. Sorry to be a 'karen,' here, BUTT I don't think gastros or dermatologists will agree here with the 'any lotion' lotion aspect. I don't know. TP may be adequate for some people, but I feel that water/bidets just clean much better. Paper just smears poop. Doesn't get it all the way off. That's why most people are scratching, and digging in their butts all day.😂
