Nice cover. You sounded so much like John. As you probably know they went to India to learn to meditate and they learned Transcendental Meditation as taught by His Holiness Maharishi Mahesh Yogi. Maharishi wrote a beautiful little book titled Love & God. The basic essence of the book is… love is God, God is love. When I first heard this song, I was so blown away by its wording and this gentle softness of feeling John put into the song. I then remember Maharishi’s book and I thought play this song again this time replace love with God. Just for grins. And I did. Every time he said love, in my mind I replaced love with God. Once it finished I was totally left in a place of serene blissfulness. Up to that point and after so many years of meditation I never felt in any given meditation session, this sense of sublime peacefulness that over took my complete sense of self. By itself, it is one of the most beautiful songs written about love, real love, unconditional love. Then to replace love with God, my feeling is, its saying I’m real, I’m here, just love unconditionally and you’ll find me. Peace out
