I think one thing that’s important for Karen Carpenter AI is including the background harmonies of her voice along with her brother Richard Carpenter. He was a brilliant music arranger. The background vocals of all their music included the voices of he and Karen overlapping to sound like a chorus of accompanying voices. This was a great selection for her range though. I really hope you’ll make more ❤

It's a bit better than the previous AI tracks but still some way to go before it's an accurate means to emulate Karen's vocals.

Probably the best AI of Karen to date. A wonderful song, but Richard should have recorded while listening to the AI track. The two tracks don't merge smoothly and his is a bit too loud.I've never heard this song before and think it is a gem.

The phrasing - you can tell that she's a Dinah Washington fan. Delightful.

First of all- she looks fabulous. However, this is post 1965 because she clearly already had a nose job. I preferred the "original " Lesley Gore but she looked great after the nose job too. Great performance. Her non-lipsynched TV performances are a treasure, no double track vocals. Just her fabulous voice out front to be heard as it was naturally.

Tony sure had a great voice. It's painfully obvious his siblings aren't on this track, nor their top-selling single Heartbeat. These are clearly professional studio singers doing the background. I'm guessing Tony was the draw, but the powers that be wanted a Jackson 5/Cowsills/Osmond Bros/Partridge Family framework which was popular at the time., so the siblings were more or less just props. I think I recall in an interview where the father said you can't have just Tony. It's the entire family or nothing.

Half of me thinks this not cool, the other half is thinking... what does Richard Carpenter think? Too bad she didn't have chance to sing this song when she was alive, and not A.I.. Great choice of song. Wish she and Richard did a version. With Richard's talent re- arranging it his way.

I'm grateful someone that loves Karen put in the effort to bring these to life. Amazing job refreshing tracks. Sounds like night and day when compared to the unsweetened unreleased solo tracks. Damn shame Richard and associates pissed on the actual official release of the KAREN CARPENTER named original cd. He's never had the balls to admit he fucked her over. Instead insists to this day it was Karen who shelved the recordings. Karen held her brother's opinion in high regard. Had he been respectful at playback karen would've felt empowered to go for the original release date in March of 1980. I'm glad i don't struggle with his conscience. I've often thought this was Karen's liberation statement and being criticized into defeat it reportedly broke her heart. It would've done worlds for her self-esteem she had grappled with all her life and as a member of the duo CarpenterS.

I disagree...these are gems..beautifully cleaned up...it's interesting to see her doing songs that are different from the Carpenter style...she needed to grow...Richard should not feel threatened. He should have recorded other artists to expand his musicianship as well...thanks for cleaning up these tracks....😊😊😊😊

Tied for my favorite pop tune of all time. I'm 67 and shudder at the 9--10 year old I was when I first heard it in 1966--67. I thought nothing could be so pretty.

I love the alternative ending of the song in this version but if you ask me Lesley is best enjoyed without stunts, gimmicks, elaborate costumes and choreography etc. More Gore, less distractions!

This was AMAZING! Thank you for making this, it's going straight onto my Lesley Gore playlist. You've gotta love Quincy Jones for discovering Lesley and sharing her talent with the world but at the same time why couldn't he let the girl sing more jazz? Was the world just not ready for this kind of awesomeness?

Very deceptive of NBC to edit the clip so that they’d get booted out after 7 seconds. In this clip, you don’t even get to hear the ding sound from Press Press Your Luck and the buzzer from Family Feud. Those sound effects must be edited in post.
