I’m watching this as I’m contemplating on wanting to continue on becoming a RN as I’m not doing well with my prereq classes. On the other hand I meet the requirements for Psych Tech. I still want to work in Healthcare as that’s the only thing I know but I’m unsure of which path to take. Not only that, but I also need to have some experience in healthcare for Nursing. 😵💫

Human hardships cant be cured by "coping skills" (distractions). You people are actual idiots. Listening to music or going on a walk or watching TV won't bring someone back to life or undo the past.

This is not how Intermountain health kitchens are. It is stressful, short staff, don’t have the equipment or ingredients. The Chef is never in the kitchen. New people walking the door make almost as much as long term employees. Micromanaged, no support. Management are bullies. I no longer work there. My mental health will be better This video is a joke
Looks like its useful to be buff lift weights and be super understanding at the same time.

Where did the idea of putting random people with strange various unknown diseases of the brain altogether come from and why did they think it would be healing or therapeutic to anyone involved? It’s basically just get patients on large doses (probably too large) of sedatives and call it healing.

You probably wont have a huge time restraint like hotel rooms. I think working with patients and meeting their needs would be more fulfilling.

@@DreamingHearts I switched to house person doing things around the hotel. No time restraint and less exhausting. More pay. Housekeepers be stressed out. Only thing I have to do for them is strip and do a few of their beds.

I have a question, do any other techs out SPD techs out there also transport patients to pre op%? I have worked in SPD 10 years at 3 different hospitals, this latest job one of our responsibilities is who ever is picking casses also gets called to go to the floors and bring inpatients to OR, unless they are critical then they require an RN to go with us. All we have is a BLS certification ( on top of our CRCST) Anyone else have duties they didn’t tell you about in class%?
@stgdante4324 Жыл бұрын
I know smaller hospitals by mine required the spd staff to scrub techs and doctors in. Set up the sterile field and even turnover the rooms when it's a light case day. 😅 fk all of that.
