I understand your perspective. While personality often reflects the traits and behaviors we exhibit, the point of the video is to explore a deeper understanding. Personality can be shaped by experiences, conditioning, and external influences, but what Eckhart Tolle refers to is something beyond that. Our essence, or the unchanging awareness behind thoughts actions and experiences. It's not really about playing with words but more about pointing to a deeper understanding of who we truly are. Ask yourself this: Who were you, before you got a personality?

I'm a very hard-headed dogmatic person I guess, only because I'm ultra passionate in my aims, that's not to mistake me for being inflexible, just that I need to feel certain of the ground beneath before I firmly set my foot down. This practice has been one I've treated with little seriousness in the past, results were slow in coming, giving me time to dismiss its worth, but that was ages ago, maybe I'm more ready now, so I'm going to give it a try, as the spiritial roller coaster starts to tip over the edge, so wish me good luck because, here goOOOoooees!

I just subscribed. Good job. Try pronouncing his name as 'Toe" "Lay" , like Oprah does, its easier. Tolle says "People can only act up to their level of Consciousness, so don't be surprised if the 'Haters" spoil the comments section. Maybe close it and let us "Lovers" listen to your videos in Peace.

Brilliant video! Thank you, but it troubles me that you refer to “Eckhart Tolle” as “Eckhart.” If you were speaking of the writings of Thomas Jefferson, would you say “Thomas?”

Happy to hear you liked the video! And I appreciate your perspective on the use of names when discussing great thinkers and teachers. In my videos, I aim to create a conversational and approachable atmosphere, and calling Eckhart Tolle by his first name is a part of that effort to make his teachings feel relatable. However, I understand that this approach might not resonate with everyone. Also, in many of his videos you see the logo "Eckhart Teachings", so I am hoping that he is OK with my approach. :-)

Absolutely powerful and true of what Jesus Christ conveyed but only a few through more than 2000 years in history were able to absorbed for their personal growth and again only a few through time, space and ongoing separation from internal connection to the Light in the creator was and is the block the barrier however once one in the ONE with the great I AM then no barrier no black can hold anyone from achieving all there is within ( THE KINGDOM OF GOD ) is within you. Profound teaching for many by the author of life, Jesus of Nazareth and who still is working forever more in the resurrected Christ. Hold tight to Him and you have it all… Thank you for the progress to allow many to shift from darkness and into the Light within.

The kingdom of God is seen throughout the entire Bible and is not "laid up in your hearts" as some ignorant preachers say. The Kingdom of God has been building since Adam and then became known as Israel which is mentioned over 2500 times in the Bible. both the good and the bad. The kingdom is a place right here on Earth and is among what used to be called Christendom. "Fear not little children, it is your Fathers good pleasure to give unto you the Kingdom." Don't fall for philosophers attempting to change the plain words of Jesus Christ into some man's fantasy, we were warned about the imaginations of men which can lead you astray of the truth.

That was true but Eckhart wasn’t the first to say it by any means! Neville Goddard actually said it much better in his book,At Your Command. You can hear it read in its entirety on the Neville GodART channel. It takes only one hour. If you’re ready to hear it,you can be set free,for it is,”the truth”!

I kind of missed the connection between Tolle and Jesus. It is my understanding that he believed that Jesus was enlightened, one of perhaps thousands to have had this life changing experiences. There is no proram, no teachings that will get you to this state. Years of meditation seldom works. In fact it is often the so called dark night of the soul experience that many have that causes liberation, the loss of ego so to speak. Being in contact with an enligghtened prrson may help but there is nothing like a guarantee. Better to be happy as you are rather than strive for something better. Striving is the opposite of being in the moment. Just my opinion.

No, we haven't misunderstood Jesus all along. The New Testament is not hidden messages - it is the Word of God. It is light. You don't need Eckhart Tolle to create fanciful interpretations of clear texts. Jesus is Lord, and you don't have anything divine within until you receive life from Jesus. This is absolutely clear from the New Testament.

It doesn't matter if you have lived a great life a good life or a horrible life as long as you believe this poorly constructed story full of contradictions that created hundreds of denominations each believing that they alone got the story right. Just believe Jesus died for your salvation's so you can go to heaven and be in total bliss forever while the rest of us are fated to an eternal existence of torture. As for me I expect to return to whatever it was that I was in the eternity before I was born. At least in my story millions of people are not being tortured for all time because God cant stand to not be worshiped.

Buddhism predates Christianity and Buddha lived into his 80’s. He taught that we in fact do possess a wondrous state of life within us…. Enlightenment. It’s innate within us. It’s always been there. And the purpose of Buddhist practice and teaching is to cultivate that state of life in the here and now

I wish I had your eloquence in this interpretation. You are correct. Sir. It is "the church and religion" that ruined everything. I cannot imagine how people are that blind to follow every little thing that a priest or pastor says when they are making it up every day. i.e. not burying a suicide victim in a Catholic cemetery making it a mortal sin. Then science discovers depression is a mental illness that can sometimes lead to suicide. I hate the church making devout people thinking their loved one is burning in hell.

I think Eckhart Tolle is offering a different way to look at life and death. He suggests this: Before you were born, life already existed, and after you die, life will continue. As human beings, we often think we 'have a life,' which implies a separation between 'you' and 'life'-a perspective shaped by the ego. The ego thrives on separation, but there’s another way to see it: what if we are not separate from life but are life itself? If you take a moment to let go of all the layers of your human identity-your name, job, body, and everything else-you’re left with your true essence: consciousness. And this consciousness is what connects us all. It’s something that was never born and will never die. It can transform, just like energy, but it doesn’t disappear. This is what Eckhart means when he talks about what happens when we die-our essence remains, even if the form changes.

I think it depends on the perspective you're coming from. If you see 'yourself' purely as a physical body or matter, then yes, you could say that’s the end. But Eckhart Tolle’s teachings aren’t really about proving or disproving what happens after death-they’re about shifting how we perceive life right now. He invites us to explore the idea that we’re not just our physical bodies but also the consciousness or awareness behind them. From that perspective, life and death might look very different. :)

The level of mind uses being discussed is shallow and incapable of deepening to where the sources of interference it uses to keep itself in power. Of course there is thinking going on, but it takes special deepening techniques that use differently the mind one typically relies on to become deeper iterations having the intelligence to first hand experience shallower sources influencing our thinking, identity, mentalities and ambitions. Realize that shallow mindedness has been allowed to hijack your will and attention to have you serve their natures, in ways their natures see fit. Revealing, weakening, removing and understanding these suppressive, manipulating source forces, how they work, where they hide and how they direct you isn't an intellectual pursuit. Telling about the problems, the divine, can't do it. One's shallow intellectual level will refer to itself and seek to supply satisfying models and ideas that keeps you at that level, and have you serve it. Until one achieves the type of deepening I talk about one is like someone driving the car but doesn't know what is driving one's self. I hope this helps you find a deeper path. It will be hard to find an inner accomplished teacher. There are so many popular, well marketed popular but unaccomplished 'teachers'.

As I understand the message from this video, what is impermanent is constantly changing, what is permanent is changeless. Therefore we have to identify ourselves with that permanent aspect which is our real identity. I know all this sounds theoretical but these truths are a matter of self realization and cannot always be communicated convincingly through words.

'shallow speculative philosophy', 'conjecture', a 'person who could be inexperienced or experienced' an 'outward or inward looking mind' ...all 'things' of the thinking mind)...was basically what this was pointing to. Not even identifying with 'one who is not identifying'...'with one who is not identifying with one who is not identifying'... ad infinitum... in other words realizing that the thinker is another thought ...the identifier and that which is identified with are just more thoughts.
