Kudos to the well trained Swiss crews who rescued these people. Consider yourself lucky. There was a cable car 🚡 in another country where the outcome was not good. The car separated from the machinery and plummeted to the ground.
@HelenBellen123 Жыл бұрын
You don't get stuck in a cable car and need to be helicoptered out of there on a piece of string and "consider yourself lucky" just because it was worse elsewhere. If you have toothache, do you "consider yourself lucky" because someone somewhere is worse off?

I've been on that cable and planning to go again in January. Some people would pay good money for that helicopter ride. But some other people would be terrified. Good to see how smooth the evacuation was.

I would be cool as a cucumber and telling everyone to stay calm and don't freak out -- at least at first (but probably after an hour or so, I'd be more like "Oh come on, when will they get that clunker fixed at last?")
@felixthecleaner88434 жыл бұрын
you'd have thought the dumb passengers may have been a tad concerned instead of laughing joking and messing about as if they're on the ground...pity the cables didn't start unravelling.....that would have concentrated their minds.
@vtfollett4 жыл бұрын
Felix s Your comment is unduly harsh, and unfair to everyone on that car. Even had we thought our situation was likely fatal, we would still have been calm and considerate of each other. I'm not sure what you expected. Screams, perhaps, or weeping. Sorry to disappoint you.

Props for shooting in landscape mode, a rare find.
I once got stuck like this on the Vitosha Mountain chairlift -- it happened during the descent somewhere between Goly Verkh (Treeline) and Bay Kristo, the lift just stopped in midair (I was over a deep valley at the time, maybe a few hundred feet AGL) and it was maybe the better part of an hour before it started moving again! TBH, it wasn't very scary, just boring to sit there and wait!

Oh hell no. I would need about four Xanax to manage this. Heights are not my friend and dangling on a helicopter cable is terrifying. I cannot believe nobody freaked out completely by the prospect of this. I was mortified riding a hot air balloon once. It is a long way down.
