This was a show Jesse played in Sydney, Nova Scotia on May 28th 2019. Was at an old bar called The Cave. I didn't know Jesse. Was a fan of him since I discovered his music here on KZbin back in 2014. Very tragic.

Hi @StephinMerritt , this is Mike the bass player in this video. I just saw this video for the first time, sparked memories. I'm... things haven't been the same since, and life is a crazy place, but I'm still truckin'. I just wrote a song for Jess and my feelings about 2 weeks ago, dunno if it'll ever see the light of day publicly, but if it does you'll find it on my spotify or youtube channel. If I'm gonna be honest I cried when I found out, and then shut feelings out until the past couple weeks where I watched a bunch of the videos of us playing together and remembered so many good memories, and cried so hard and mourned my friend. Memories not just on the road, but at home, being supportive for each other in life. I cared about him a lot, and I know he cared about me. My heart breaks a lot for all the ones I've lost, but in this moment it breaks for him. Thank you for asking, I appreciate that very much
