Nice video. Just came back from 16 days of riding the Island of Taiwan. I really like my trip. A little less to the west given urbanization and traffic. I didn't have a bad experience with cars, trucks and buses, thanks to the lanes reserved for bicycles and scooters and bikes paths. However, I was able to drive on beautiful rural roads in the mountains and along irrigation canals in particular. I took the train between Hualien and Yilan to avoid the tunnels.

The coral looks unhealthy at best. Lots of it looks quite dead. Pity.

Yes, due to pollution and changes in sea temperature, a large number of corals in Taiwan have died over the past decade. Now, marine experts are putting a lot of effort into coral restoration.

This is going to sound so weird but I've actually never even seen an image of what Taiwan looks like, but I dreamt of swimming in the blueish green water with loads of fish. I decided to see what it looks like, and this is exactly it.

this is a sad movie for me, so much dead coral..... people now don't know how beautiful the reefs used to be before all the acidity, warming, etc. killed so much coral and other parts of the reefs. Thanks for sharing your joy about your experience though!!

U were really close to that snake!! 😱😱😱 very nice video regardless. We might go snorkeling on our vacation but I'm so scared that a shark will come. Now I'm even more scared that a sea snake will come. I don't know about snorkeling anymore. The water u were in doesn't look all that shallow. Have u ever happened to see shark(s) while snorkeling?

I've been snorkeling lots of times in Thailand. Never seen a shark. I think you are more likely to see them deep sea diving versus snorkeling. Have seen a sea snake. It was calm but all of a sudden started it turned around and started chasing us out of nowhere.

I do hope that you understand just how DANGEROUS the Belcher's sea snake (black and white stripes) is. All sea snakes are much more poisonous than land snakes. JUST be AWARE!
@mofoformosa
@mofoformosa 8 жыл бұрын
Thanks EJ. Yes we know they are very poisonous. Look but don't touch and always give them space. I've had a very large one swim feet away from my head diving orchid island. Creepy!
@venomouzz5997
@venomouzz5997 8 жыл бұрын
Well first of all, they are VENOMOUS, secondly sea snakes are more venomous than land snakes, but they are less aggressive, because they don't want to waste their venom (sea snakes have less venom in their glands for a creature (human) that they barely see in their environment and that they can't eat. Moreover their fangs are not as large as land snakes fangs. But in the end, I agree, if you get bitten by one of these snakes (really rare) the chance to die is much higher compared to land snakes. You could touch them if you had gloves for example and a good protective equipment! Anyway, I love snakes :)

because 1. it makes decompressing your ears harder because you cant really build the pressure necassary. 2. If something happens and you black out water can come through the snorkel and is guided exactly into your lungs.

jony1495 No the water wont come ( unless you have a shitty cheap one). All the ''pro'' pipes stops the water from coming in. I never got any water no matter how hard i tried. Its really useful and easy to use.

Sean Bean Your talking about shitty snorkling snorkels. Freediving snorkels never have any of that bullshit. Also the biggest reason is if you blackout your gonna bite down on the snorkel and people wont be able to get it out from your mouth to give you mouth to mouth.
