Not really sure. It might have been at an event or a hack through something else. The main point is... Have all you two-step-identification and backup codes in a safe place. I also suggest using an authentication app. I know it's all a pain, but worth it in the long run.

The Neewer inputs are not all over the place. First of all the USB-C and USB-A are on the leftt side of the battery when the battery is on the camera plate meaning they are the same side as the camera ports. The USB-C, HDMI Audio and headphone are all on that side. I have a Panasonic S5ii and I can run the camera AND monitor from just those two USB ports on the left side of the battery. BUT, should I decide to run the camera off the D-Tap with a dummy battery, guess what side of the camera the battery is on, yea you guessed it, the same side as the port on the battery. And this is the case will virtually EVERY DSLR camera I can think of.

I actually was able to modify this HDMI & Type-C right angle (BMPCC 6k pro version) adapter to work with the Tilta cage. The adapter was "shorter" by 1mm than it should, and the connectors won't go all the way. Luckily it is made from plastic and covered with rubber, which is very easy to cut with a sharpie, and exactly 1mm thick. So I "sculpted" a 1mm x 6mm clearance and now the connectors go all the way in and the adapter is resting firmly onto the cage. I cut the screw and "eye" off, and I made a 3d printed brace to hold it in place (screwd into the above and below holes). Tested the USB-C, works perfectly. Waiting for the HDMI cable and I will test that as well. I did all this because I want to use my own HDMI and USB-C cables and Tilta has separate right angle connectors, the USB-C being one piece with the cable.

Hey, man! I have the 6k pro and I've seen that these Smallrig 90 degree adapters are pretty similar, at least as far as dimensions. The problem is that I have a Tilta cage and they don't have a USB-C 90 degree option without a cable, so I would like to get the Smallrig 3289 90 degree adapter (made for the 6k pro) which looks almost identical to this one that you presented in this video and (heavily) modify it. Would you PLEASE, when you have some time, measure the interior distance for me (from the interior corner of the adapter to the plastic end-where the plugs start) so I can see if it is long enough to work on my Tilta cage (so the 2 connectors go all the way inside the camera)? Thanks a lot!!!! :)

Hey there, great review you really made some good points and the honesty about the materials and downsides are good to hear frankly ! One thing I'd say though is that you kept comparing some of those downsides to much more expensive lights, for example, the V-mount accessory which is give with the aputure. Thanks anyway !
@Ranger7Studios
@Ranger7Studios 2 ай бұрын
I kind of go by the philosophy of buy once, cry once. True, they are more expensive, but it's better to get what you need than say, "I wish I had gone with something else." Of course, don't go bankrupt buying gear. With that said, I think I was feature focus rather then price focused in this review. Again, just trying to give you a value point. Hope this was help full to you.

in my country, the b500 comes to about 460usd, (and the nanlite comes to about 670) and ive heard with the latest firmware its much more quieter. With those both in mind, would you get the zhiyun?
@Ranger7Studios
@Ranger7Studios 2 ай бұрын
I'm not sure about the firmware update as I had to give the light back to the rental house. I am of two mind sets. One is buy what you can afford and upgrade later. The other is; buy once, cry once. It all depends one how you feel. Keep in mind that, when selling used gear, Nanlite is going to sell better then Zhiyun, because Zhiyun is not a major brand like Nanlite and Aputure. So really it's up to you and your budget and use case.

How do you use a v-mount with this I’m confused
@Ranger7Studios
@Ranger7Studios 2 ай бұрын
You can not use v-mount batteries with this light. The power brick has a built in V-mount mount, so you cn clip the power brick to your light stand. The only way to power this is by wall power or by generator/power bank.

I know right!!!??? I was surprised as well that this came from GVM. But I guess even a blind squirrel finds a nut once in a while. ;) It really WAS surprisingly good. I may actually buy a couple more for the studio. It's a good value for what you get. Who'd have thunk it. Also, know that when I put my seal of approval on something, I do mean it. Especially because I bought this with my own money to test. I'm not hindered or told what to say by GVM at all in my review here. I genuine like this product.

Is this better than the nanligt fc300 or fs300 bi?
@Ranger7Studios
@Ranger7Studios 3 ай бұрын
Well, this is 200w and those are 300w. So you are getting a little more power with Nanlite. The amaran is smaller and lighter. I found the FC series to be a bit on the bulky side. I have the FS series which they just keep adding lights to. Those are still larger than amaran but they look more like Nanlite's pro line. It really depends on the the job, what aesthetics you want to show the client and how much weight you wan to carry with you.

How does this work to use for sunlight coming into the room from outside? Maybe evening. Sun setting or during the day? Or will the cb300 be better? Or just a different brand of lights?
@Ranger7Studios
@Ranger7Studios 3 ай бұрын
I've seen people use 60w at night to simulate the sun. It all depends on how powerful you want the sun to be. What your shot requires. True, the more power, the better the effect. But it really depends on the shot. I usually use 2 Aputure 300d lights to shoot through the window when I'm on set, to give you an idea. But again, I'm trying to cover larger areas. So it depends on what you need.
