Hey wonderful review, just wanted to say Cantonese is a spoken dialect. On paper it is always just known as Chinese.

If you have to worry about the annual fee and perks then this card is not for you. What dont you understand? BTW, it's a CHARGE CARD, not a credit card ...

Which other card would you recommend to pair with the cobalt card ?

if everyone has their shade shut and yours is open, i think you know the answer to that question. Its infuriating especially considering the whole point of many of these flight times is to keep you on schedule and lessen the jet lag.

We flew to HK by executive first which is today’s business class. We didn’t even eat at the lounge. We thought we had to pay. We were peasants. Overall, good service, enjoyed our flight to HK, my birth place.

Is there a chart that shows the most expensive airport fees
@farid783821 күн бұрын
Sure, YVR (Vancouver) is cute, but it is TINY. And they still have not figured out the security line/check: it is always backed up! PS: next time spare yourself the struggle and disappointment with Air Canada, fly Cathay to HK.

Pro tip - 🎉get the rbc ion+ where you 3x the points on major spending categories like groceries and gas and can transfer the premium point to elite point at a rate of 1:1

i was on the a330 this past summer and i agree with the review the only good thing on this plane is food and service, everything else was just awful and soo outdated. was very disappointed for the price.

Swissair went out of business on March 31, 2002. The name of the airline that you flew on was SWISS - the clue is painted on every aircraft in the fleet. I've flown on both.

@Ben-xe8psАй бұрын
The name of the airline is Swiss (LX), NOT Swissair. Swissair (SR) was the old Swiss airline which no longer exists.

Would you apply for the Green Card? It doesn't earn so much but it has a decent welcome bonus and no annual fee
@Protocol0328Ай бұрын
If you spend very little, then it’s a decent card, especially if you have another card that has multipliers for groceries, dining, gas, etc.
@adammorton983620 күн бұрын
I personally opened it up before opening my cobalt card for the welcome bonus aswell as a place to keep points if I want to cancel my cobalt in the future

Love your videos. As someone who works out of Winnipeg Are you always just flying to either Toronto or Vancouver before flying international? Are there any other options? What are the cheapest ways to do so? I want to fly to Tokyo and then to Thailand eventually out of Winnipeg. Any tips or tricks?

My husband and I are looking to go to Japan next fall, traveling from Vancouver. We have a lot of avión points saved up up - would you recommend transferring to BA then? Using Japan air? We were also looking at booking flights to Europe directly through the avión site, but they wanted 65,000 points + $800+ CAD, which was the same price as paying cash. Is it ever a good deal to book directly through avión site or only when transferring to partners?

So….. I actually designed the AC lounge! I’ve worked in the lounge world for a long time. First, no alcohol before 11am is a BC liquor law. If the sky team lounge is serving it, they are breaking the law! As a regular traveller, I think airports should be exempt, but I don’t make the laws. I’ve been to the sky team lounge several times and it is so lame compared to AC. Lastly re your complaint about not having access to the whole airport-you need to understand that unlike American airports, at yvr (&yyz) you can actually make a seamless connection from another country to an international flight (ie, the US via YVR to HKG) without going into Canada & out again. This puts on par with European & Asian airports, but precludes you from access to the whole airport….
@lilnabiiАй бұрын
Everyone i the airport limits alcohol cause one on the ground is 2 in the sky due to blood thinning in elevation. Its about safety

Love your content and I watch 'em all! But I believe there are some inaccuracies in this video. RBC Avion Infitite earns 1.25 points on all travel coded purchases not just through the RBC travel portal. Also all "Visa Infinite Avion" cards earn Elite Points. The "Ion" cards earn Premium. Premium points can't transfer to as many airline partners (only West Jet) as Elite points.
@Akhtersz2 күн бұрын
thank you for clarifying bro got me tweaking when he said the Avion platinum gets premium points

interesting...so when you say "you booked a flight on xx airline"...did you book it on Avion website, or on the specific airline website? and if on the specific airline website, how did you do that? Can you share pls?

Do you think this card is still worth it even if I don’t spend the 10k? I travel about 5 times a year and this would be my first travel card but I don’t have any big purchases coming up to meet the requirements for the welcome bonus points.
