First heard this when I was aboard the USS Detroit, AOE-4. Too funny that they are from Detroit. How very apropos. 😅 We were docked in Norfolk, VA so we had cable piped into our berthing space TV. I walked in one day in 1988 and this video was playing on MTV. Went out that day and bought the album. Truly a masterpiece. This song was always wonderful but so was “Father’s Footsteps” and “Solidarity”. “I Surrender” is another good one, too. Thanks for posting!

Saw these guys in 88' at MSU in Rick's. I knew this song was important. It should have been a big hit world wide, but it is more important than ever now. The only thing I would have done as a filmmaker was nix the rooster and put in an eagle. There is a Polish connection with this band (Eagle/ Dove)

I had forgotten about this song. So glad it popped up on my KZbin. They had a great sound. It’s a shame they couldn’t duplicate the success of this song.

You guys made songs and melodies as great as the most popular bands back then… I don’t think you had a good promoter like you deserved you guys…sorry about that but you’re one of the best ❤

Bought the album on a whim and loved it! They only made one more album called the "the Future's not what it used to be." Also a good album.

So miss seeing you guys play live back then. Really wish you guys could have put out a 2nd album. At least I found online 2 songs by Adrenalin and DC Drive that never got released. Let There Be You and Lucky Star. Both great songs.

I miss the old days when this kind of earnest music was taken at face value before cynicism took over. Spoken as a now old guy.

Am I crazy? I went to middle school in Palo Alto, CA and I swear these guys played every school dance when I was there - 1984-1986. They mostly played covers and ended every show with "What I Like About You..." Is it possible they're the same band?
@markwest521710 ай бұрын
I don’t think it’s the same band. Rhythm Corps are from Detroit.
