Is the Rusk gun required? It's a lot of gold. What is a good alternative? And only like 1 sec sb. Al that is needed?

Rusk is not requried. Star beast gun/orb/staff is a good alternative. And yes, after proc set, quick second cosmic buff activation swap. Then i swap to my dps rusk set (optional) if you own rusk. Otherwise stick with 6/6 beast + sb weapon for dps.
