very high-level intro to DV2.0 & automateDV (aka dbtvault). I don't necessarily agree that DV2.0 approach is "easy", but maybe Tom is just very smart and experienced... Also, would've loved for Tom to explain how he came up with his hubs, links, satellites and why the raw data was joined in a way it was under the "raw stage" A bit disappointing that Tom didn't talk about the "business key" concept

yeah "easy" is definitely a relative term (based on context, competencies, natural proclivities, and so on). what would you liked to have heard Tom expound upon in terms of the "business key" concept?

Business key is a central/core component of DV2.0 approach. You really need to explain what it actually means and why defining them correctly is so important. Are you able to understand and explain the idea of a business key from this presentation? Probably not, so there you go Nevertheless, great video and a definite 👍

Why do you need a hashed pk column in your tables if you already a key column?
@ImprovingEnterprises
@ImprovingEnterprises Ай бұрын
The biggest impact on using hashed key vs using a business key is the ability to load data in parallel. For instance you can load the hubs, links and satellites at the same time without referencing any other tables. Performance, less joining to other tables and uniqueness are also benefits but quite often these appear to be less of a concern depending on how much data you are processing and your database platform. Without using a solution such as AutomateDV (formerly dbtvault) using hashed keys will feel like more work. - Tom Schiro, speaker in video

I feel that this leadership development program is extremely effective and relevant in today's fast-paced and complicated corporate climate. I also completed leadership training sessions from Echelonfront. It not only provides individuals with the required skills and information to become effective leaders, but it also promotes personal growth and development. I would strongly suggest this training to anybody who wants to improve their leadership abilities and become a more successful and influential leader.

The film on Outcomes & Leadership, as well as the relevance of UX in business transformation, serves as a reminder to leaders to include UX into their company plans. By investing in leadership training programs, like we did under Echelonfront management, and implementing a user-centric strategy, leaders may produce great company outcomes, gain a competitive edge, and ultimately build a loyal customer base. It is essential for leaders to realize the importance of UX and take steps to include it into their leadership styles.

very interesting food for thought. this echos Tom Peters' work in The Little Big Things where a lot of emphasis is put on excellence in product design and how important that is for keeping customers happy

This video on Effective Feedback for Greater Leadership Impact has given me useful ideas and approaches that I will undoubtedly apply into my leadership style. It has emphasized the necessity of good feedback in leadership and provided me with actionable recommendations to enhance my feedback-giving abilities. I strongly suggest this video to anybody trying to improve their leadership effect and foster a good and productive workplace. I also shared this with my colleagues at Echelonfront.

Hi, Amazing video! Very helpful. I see that you are using VMware workstation for your lab. Have you tried using lab in Azure? I created everything like you did in Azure - DC, CA and Win 11 client generation 2. It says that it should support windows hello but that option is not visible under account sign in. I wonder if you can using azure virtual VM for that. I did configure all other reqs- aad connect, mfa

Its like a nutshell.... Sprint planning - method, what is most effective to estimate effort. Poker Planning, refinement ??
@blakemcmillan7966
@blakemcmillan7966 Жыл бұрын
I've seen where refinement ends up getting done in Sprint Planning because we didn't make time for the activity during the previous Sprint. I get concerned if we run past our time box for Sprint Planning or the engagement is low because of lack of focus. I'm supportive of the team exploring various ways of estimation...as long as it is the same team doing the work.

This video series was very helpful. I do have a question though. What about a scenario where the user has no internet access, say they were on a flight. Would they be able to use WHfB to login or does it need to authenticate with the on-prem AD for each sign in?
