Definitely wouldn’t recommend painting you picks with whatever because as you are playing the paint will chip and fall right onto your single coil pickups and not only will this effect your tone but also if a small chipped piece of paint falls into your pickup and melts that definitely wouldn’t be good.

A piece of advice would have been to start out with acoustic because the string hurt your fingers less.I’ve had an acoustic for two years and just got my electric guitar yesterday

Before you start playing an electric guitar, you have to get used to a normal wooden one❤Otherwise, you'll be fine, I can play it too ❤

For all of those people who want to get a guitar and want to learn how to play, READ this FIRST before you decide! Please, or you’ll just waste your money like her. We don’t want anyone making more mistakes, no offence to this KZbinr, she just didn’t know and no one was there to tell her. Before you go and spend your money straight to the electric guitar, then the amplifier, then the cables, then the pick, etc, get an ACOUSTIC instead! They’re cheaper and you don’t need to buy a whole pack of picks anyway, since it’s actually better to use your fingers for better control. Thanks to my guitar teacher, he was able to provide me with one, completely free. Simply get an acoustic, that’s all you need. In case if, you know, you say: “Hmm, I don’t really like this. I don’t wanna play guitar anymore. I quit.” Quite literally after buying an electric guitar, amplifier, a pack of picks and cute accessories to go with it and cables. One acoustic is all you need for the beginning of your journey. You don’t see people just diving head first into the sea. No. First, you need to start small. Imagine it as if it were a swimming pool. Of course, you need a paddle and some support so you can learn how to swim, or you’ll just drown. Usually when guitarists first start, they get interested since, even though it’s just the basics, they’re really important and interesting. It makes you want to explore deeper so you get to understand. Until you know all the basics and don’t know what to do. Then you start to get easily bored, like how I did. I went a few months not even touching my guitar, trying to get back into the habit. To keep things interesting for you, MAKE IT FUN. I know this might seem obvious, but so, SO many guitarists in the past focused more on practicing chords, knowing every crevice and structure of the guitar and reminding themselves by saying: “Oh, I’ll just learn all of this and when I start to play songs and riffs it’ll be easier”. Meanwhile, there’s SO many riffs you can do that are so simple and straightforward. You don’t even have to know a single chord. For example, Another One Bites The Dust by Queen which is located on the thick E string (the first string closest to you on the guitar) through the whole riff. Including an open E string, then third and fifth fret. Literally: 5-3-0-0-0 … 0-0-0-3-0-5! So, to put it short, don’t waste all your money on something you might not even like. That goes for a lot of people, even me. We all do that, believe it or not. And give it a go. Try to let it guide and interest you. Don’t give up so easily. Thanks for reading this unnecessarily long comment. You sure have a lot of patience and is absolutely far away from having the attention span of a goldfish.
