It's a "1/10" Short Course with some tuning choices to lower it, which is about the same size as a 1/8 buggy. None of those scales map out to real cars when you measure the wheel base and track. The scale changes completely depending on the car you're comparing against, so it's only useful to know the relative size compared to other RC classified within the same "scale"

You must not have heard of the "Gorgon Notch." Cut that chassis a bit for those motor wires. Doesn't affect rigidity at all. We been eyeing the Furry as we've been crazy about the platform with our Gorgon (brushless convert). Great video, guys. You got the best RC channel in the Midwest. Ope!

3660 size motors fit perfect. But I agree this is a really fun truck with more power.

I went with the Hobbywing 10bl120 combo with the 3652 4000kv motor. Fit perfectly, but only at an angle. But no modifications required. 2-3S capable, and I use a Dumbo RC X6 with a gyro. Great system. I wish I would have waited on the 223S though

I'm running a Spektrum 3660 ,3800kv motor, and firma 130 esc, 15 tooth pinion, Gpm cooling fan, gorgon receiver box, and Dumborc transmitter and receiver with gyro!

2:37. Dang it my guys do you not read my comment from the last video? I told you you need a 3660 length motor. Anything 50 mm or 40 is it long enough. Still watching a video but now you have to get that hot racing motor spacer. I guess you live and you learn.

At $90 no reason not to get a g2 hobbywing setup

back in the day on my gold pan i put long screws from the inside of the motor mount that stuck out. then you just put some fuel tubing over those screws to hold the cover one. super easy to change/check gearing/mesh! also, 3660 can motor is needed in this platform, fwiw.

You should've checked out one of the 50 some videos of people doing this to their Fury's before getting that motor lol. You just need the slightly longer can and it fits perfectly! I put the Dynamite system straight out of my Losi Tenacity right into my Fury in about 30 min and it totally rips! They really are one of the absolute best short course trucks once you swap em over. So glad you guys decided to do it, I spent the entire first video you made of it wishing you tried it after the swap. It will take way more with absolutely zero issues, I'm running a 17 tooth pinion in mine at the moment. I run mine more than my Pro4, or my Senton BLX. Throw a 4s in it for the next video!!! Love the channel!!!

What you're describing is a company that is extremely successful.. Traxxas is much like the Apple of RC cars. They lead the market because of all the "annoying" things they do. Yet, they are able to charge more, and own the market.

Interesting video. I just got into the hobby and honestly would have probably not bit the bullet on the purchase if not for the initial ease of use. Once I know more and do some simple upgrades I’m sure I’ll delve in deeper but from what I’ve gathered, traxxas brings newcomers in allowing for the more intense brands to exist. If the barrier to entry is too huge, then you have no entry.

Revo was a truly revolutionary design and defined MT Racing in the early 2000's. Too bad the Truggy decapitated the class. The Traxxas people I met while racing and being sponsored like Slayden were second to none. At the end of the day though performance and racing is not beginner friendly.

For me the prices are ridiculous, trucks are all plastic, servos are HORRIBLE, batteries and chargers are crazy expensive, ect.... their quality is hot garbage nowadays and thats not getting into their customer support. You are buying for the name at this point. Like a trx4m at $180 and its all plastic. I drove it for about 11 minutes and the servo broke, front left shock broke, and the rear driveshaft. Thats unacceptable.

Put the Losi brushless swap. Keep the 1v1 more fair testing

500 bucks...for original, and you need to spend 200 extra for option parts, i buy 3 other brands for that price that look more realistic...just like all rest of usa high price for low quality, and sorry to say but hpi got allot better gas car...if i live in usa i would have traxxas too😆😉
