That's because for the last 20 years, Games Workshop has been run by the marketing department.. everything "Brand New" or "New Hotness" was instantly 5x better than anything 5 yrs or older.. It's hard to run a business model that you base your clientele in "Whale" status.. ALL THE TIME.. Whales dry up, and then you're stuck with fishes.. So in order for GW to keep up the demand for its products, they hype the holy-hell outta it for MONTHS, then they short it... They promise all their stores 2 copies or boxes or whatever.. then they give them half.. Poof, instant market demand.. It's not that the miniatures got worse, just the opposite.. the mini's got better.. it's the game.. They all got worse, and that's because when you speak to customer service or sales management they will tell you that Games Workshop is not a GAME company (funny, it's the first word in their name).. They will tell you that they are in "the Fantastical Miniatures" business.. their words, not mine.. Don't believe me.. Call'em.. 'Nuff Said..

I got easy to build assault Intercessors I had from the Indomitus box and 40k first born jump packs, not sure how much the cost is but I'm sure it's cheaper than actual Jump Intercessors while looking cooler imo, used some cork ad rocks for them to stand/jump from.

I paid £148 for the box set it has the new rule book and both armies in it plus battle tiles and terrain cards for the game and I got a nice leather bound note book, now the rule book is £44 on its own I sold the skaven as I was only wanting the stormcast eternals I got £60 for the skaven models so it’s only cost me £88 which is a luxury to buy but I’m on good money and I don’t drink, don’t smoke so I buy plastic crack instead 😅😅😅

Well that's because the website puts you on a 10min waiting list to check their merch and that's shyt so people avoid that. Also they only push spacemarines I been waiting for like 2 years to get some more recruits for my army and its impossible for to get it in my local store. My local game store provider has been telling me it's like pulling teeth to get anything that is not the blueberryboys.

Good GW needs to remember that they are luxury not a need 2 price hikes and less then two years is out of control.

Instead of yet more stormcast I’d have rather seen more cities of Sigmar miniatures, they’re cooler and more interesting anyways. More humans, elves, dwarves focused would have sold way better imo.

I think at that pricepoint, its a hard sell. They might want to reconsider these 2 faction boxes; make a rules box and then army starter boxes. I want the skaven models, but not those stormcast.

AoS does obviously sell, but it does not evoke the same passion and love as either 40k or Warhammer Fantasy. It just doesn't. With Dominion it was the same: they pushed it incredibly hard, kept telling people that it was very limited, giving free add-ons for ordering. It sat there for months. Rather more tellingly, the limited edition rulebook, which they said was limited to 2000, sat there for weeks and weeks. By contrast, 40k releases are often sold out in minutes. Old World products keep going out of stock. AoS doesn't inspire that kind of love.

For starters it's quite expensive. However even then if I liked the company I would be willing to buy such large sets , but due to practices like the animation fiasco and warhammer+ , constantly rising prices which fuck over weaker currencies , discontinuing a bunch of lines , constant unpolished and blatant gaming cash grabs , many games being discontinued after being in early access and having paid for them , factions still being forced to use models old enough to drink , a bunch of dog shit and contradictory books , the whole Primaris nonsense and a lot of other stuff , there is just no good will left in me to buy anything from GW. Just get third party models and pirate the games and books.

Tipping point for GW? Pricing model is nuts nowadays, especially now that it's plastic instead lead/pewter...
