The South was far from broke, Cotton was King and the northern states placed ever increasing tariffs, if it was only about slaves why did Lincoln wait 3 years to sign the Emancipation proclamation?

This video got the colors screwed up. Red is for republican and blue is for democrat. The democrats (blue) are the ones who fought to keep their slaves. Republicans (red) gave their lives to free the slaves.
@unadin4583
@unadin4583 3 ай бұрын
The red and blue color scheme did not come about until the 2000 election. Before that time, the media arbitrarily chose red or blue for election coverage, usually using blue for the incumbent president's party. Also, if Republicans gave their lives to free the slaves, does that mean that Democrats gave their lives to defeat NAZI Germany?

The title shut be oversimplified and not a full summary. Completely ignoring Freikorps Right wing Courts and military and large scale inconsequential violence against the political left in the creation of the Weimar Republic. Also it was the military and the old powers of Germany that came up with the conspiracy that the Jewish Bolshevik Communist and Socialist were at fault for the loss of the world war. The antisemitism and the anti Communism already was widely spread in the German Middle and upper class and even more in the Army and the Freikorps. Hitler while believing in this wasn’t the architect of that conspiracy story. This Video dose a good job for its length but it is a Oversymplification and not a complete summary.

Right out of the gate I call B.S. if anyone believes for one second that the united states government has ever involved itself in any war or conflict of any kind in the name of freedom and liberty for anyone ever then they are a blind fool. The united states has only ever involved itself in any war for one reason and one reason only and that reason is money. Freedom and liberty has been used since the beginning to hide the truth the facts are that there was never a military agenda to raid farms and free slaves and liberate anyone. The only military agenda during the Civil war was to go south of the Mason Dixon line destroy all printing presses burn all confederate currency and take any gold from southern banks and treasuries. Thst was the only assignment given to any military troops during the Civil war raiding farms and freeing slaves is not profitable and confederate money was a threat to the American dollar..

Study the economy of the civil war for yourself. Money was the absolute decider in weather or not soldiers would fight kill and die just like every war. Roger Ransom of the University of California, riverside. Has the economics of the civil war pretty well mapped out but its not just the american civil war it is every war. While there may have been underlying issues with every war the us government has not entered any war without the certainty of economic bennifit. Money is why governments fight wars. I know it's a hard truth to choke down when you consider how many people have lost their lives to the ugliness of war and how many of those who died thinking they were fighting for what was right when right or wrong was never even factored In to the choice to send them into battle. Kinda makes you not want to be a part of humanity but being aware will help you to look past whatever you see on TV it usually isn't hard to find the economic reason behind every conflict. Never just accept the idea that it isn't about money because it's always about money.

"A geographical line has been drawn across the Union, and all the States north of that line have united in the election of a man to the high office of President of the United States, whose opinions and purposes are hostile to slavery. He is to be entrusted with the administration of the common Government, because he has declared that "Government cannot endure permanently half slave, half free," and that the public mind must rest in the belief that slavery is in the course of ultimate extinction." -South Carolina Declaration of Causes "Our position is thoroughly identified with the institution of slavery-- the greatest material interest of the world." -Mississippi Declaration of Causes "We hold as undeniable truths that the governments of the various States, and of the confederacy itself, were established exclusively by the white race, for themselves and their posterity; that the African race had no agency in their establishment; that they were rightfully held and regarded as an inferior and dependent race, and in that condition only could their existence in this country be rendered beneficial or tolerable." -Texas Declaration of Causes Sure, _totally_ not about slavery...

Ok slavery is admittedly a good reason to fight that goes without saying but do you think the moral rightiousness bug came and bit these leaders on the ass in the night time when they slept and they just woke up one morning after a 400 year tradition of using people as currency and building huge fortunes on that foundation for generations just looked out the window at the slaves working in the fields and suddenly for the first time they had conscious thought that maybe it's not right to buy and sell people and then based on thst thought alone called up every resource available to them and sent countless young men off to fight and die for what they suddenly uncharichtericaly thought to be right or could you maybe put that indisputable scenario to the side for one second and consider that one by one over a very short period they began to realize that there generations old fortunes were at risk of greatly diminishing in value due to an ever increasing number of people putting their money in a much stronger economy thst seemed to be growing out of control and if nothing were done to stop it would be the dominant economic force on the continent there by relinquishing control of the money and moreover the power to the southern states and the ruling class for the first time in there lives would live with all the freedoms that they themselves afforded to the common slaves in the field for their entire lives. So you see the slaves must be freed indeed. But it was not because of any moral rightiousness or Christian ideas the slaves needed to be freed as a small part of an agenda to destroy an economy. for all the northern leaders cared the soldiers could have walked through and slaughtered the slaves just as long as they were no longer picking cotton and supporting an economy that was quickly becoming a threat to there ability to even conjure up an army of willing soldiers because no one joined the union army for free it was the promise of having the support of strong economy behind them if they were to succeed in their mission to destroy the only threat to that economy then anyone who was worth a few american dollars would be set for life and so it was, confederate money fell there was no economy to back it up there was no gold to back it up and the southern troops were starving unable to buy supplies and unable to pay their men many southern troops disbanded in the name of survival some surrendering and joining the union even. But like I said before if you really study the reasons for any war you will quickly discover that for every crusade for justice where injustice accured there was an underlying financial benefit to the crusaders who would have never even taken a second look at the worst kind of atrocities being committed if it were no threat to them or they had not been offered money to fight against it. It is important that every human being be aware of this fact because it seems like no one reads the Bible any more but it says right there that the root of all evil is the love of money and it can be proven time and time again through financial records that every war would have never taken place with out the promise of the spoils going to the victor. I'm not trying to spread any false narratives or ruin anyone's visions of what the glory of war must have looked like for those that fought on the side of rightiosness but I'm trying to bring to light that the only real winners of any war are people that will never risk a drop of there own blood but will not think twice about sending thousands in to be slaughtered if the risk of becoming financially dominated is at risk. Or even worse the opportunity to become financially dominant lies in the balance. I hope that you will do just a little bit of research about the economics of war because it won't take long to understand what I'm telling you is the honest truth . I could run through every war and every conflict in the history of the world and put aside whatever historical reasoning that they have accredited the war having been caused by and show anyone willing to listen the financial dividends paid to the Victor's and the reason for history to pit the finances of war in the back pages and focus only on the morality used as propaganda to motivate the poor to kill each other.
