This was extremely informative and super satisfying to watch! I’m an artist living and working in Phoenix, AZ; what’s the best way to get involved with the arts community at Arcosanti? Cheers! Kooz

Their large bronze bells from the early 1970s are far too expensive to produce today. I’d kill to have one, but they’re likely squirreled away in private collections.

I have been planting Hopi Blue for a few years. I save the seeds and replant them year over year. This year I planted 60 stations directly into a lawn in Wisconsin. I will not weed or water. No pesticides. I planted all 60 stations in less than 2 hours. I value these seeds for their potential to feed so many people so quickly. I think that if I can show that the sisters can be successfully planted in a lawn, I can make the argument that these seeds are very valuable as a survival crop should we ever need them. I am documenting my progress Halfway through the Three Sisters Garden Experiment kzbin.info/www/bejne/o6DGhHSvfMlgqMU

Wonderful video! These bells are magical! The process and creative environment are in perfect harmony. Please continue making videos of Arcosanti's way of living and creating.

In the middle east and Africa they plant trees\bushes in swales large enough for the mature plant, so like your tradition of large areas of water catchment for your grouped oasis of seeds. And leaving the stalks standing in the soil to catch the rain n snowmelt is a wise idea.

Thank you for this - I live in the "East", but lived at Arco for a time. I love the Gila National Monument area and have great memories of the blue heron and javelina in the river valley; finding its lost hot springs; gentle hikers passing through in the Continental Divide trail. Happy they have thus far prevented that section from being dammed and diverted.
