@@ostera15 Thank you so much! I just got it at a local outdoor store - the brand is Kavu. They had another adorable one with another mountain scene that I’ve had my eye on too lol!

What a true statement regarding sacrifice. I’m 34, have three kids under 4 and just have been in the trenches for the last 5 years when I started having kids. I always feel like I’m drowning and can’t “do what I want when I want to” due to having very little ones. Just gave birth to my third right before Christmas at 37 weeks via C-section for the second time and it’s been healing but surreal compared to my first and second birth. I definitely reflect on how my kids will grow up compared to me and how I mother vs how my mom mothered. All that to say you put into words some of the things I feel as well about the current life stage and it’s definitely refreshing to have it feel like just a statement vs complaining or comparing (which is feel like I hear a lot more when people have a similar reaction to change in their lives that don’t end up how they thought).

@@TriggerTrue Phew, I hear you! It took me three times to reply to you with the chaos of our day today lol! How’s your postpartum going? We are very much wanting a big family but feeling the same - just at capacity right now. And SO many people go to extremes when talking about parenthood: you CAN be exhausted and be the happiest you’ve ever been BUT yearn for time for yourself. You are doing an absolutely amazing “job”!!💚🙌

@@TriggerTrue And YES to the comparing! It seems like that’s every mothering group on Facebook. I truly believe with all my heart that most of us are trying to do our best with the situation we are in with what we have!

@@feralrootsfarm it was smooth until Monday when the flu hit our house. I’m only three weeks pp so I’m trying to keep myself and the newborn away from the rest of the family while also being nurse. We don’t have much in the way of help so once my husband got sick it’s so much harder as he was helping me and distracting the other kids so I can heal. Just gotta take it one day at a time and give ourselves grace (which is so hard when sleep deprivation is at its peak). My mom luckily said that once we are well enough she’ll come over and help clean the house and said she’d keep watching our dog a little longer until we can actually handle him again (15yo Australian cattle dog with no chill and I’m his person so he’s really not happy to be away from me right now).

What is "tech" anyway? I mean I've been in IT for years but I have never considered myself "in tech". The reason? Most people who use that phrase are talking about six figure jobs in *software* and not the lower salary blue collar jobs of IT. At least that's been my impression. And yes the gatekeeping is strong in this industry. Lots of pretension and measuring for what is ultimately a *trade* (yes even software dev).

I just wanted to reach out and let you know that I have watched a couple of your videos, and I find them truly inspiring. Your journey of switching careers is particularly enjoyable to hear about, and I appreciate how naturally you share your life. It's rare to come across someone who does it so effortlessly. Please don't get discouraged about KZbin, as your content is making a positive impact on others. Keep up the great work!

I am a chef and I have been on my tech industry journey. I really want to come back to the food and hospitality industry but helping with the tech aspect of it. I am so happy to know us kitchen folk are making great strides for that change of income. 12 years in and I feel burnt out. I look forward to seeing where you go with this!

How many days did you harden off the seedlings in the shade before giving them some sun? In the winter to spring transition I usually take 7-14 days of hardening, is it similar in the summer? Also when did you plant your root crops? Do you suggest planting them in August?
