A couple of years back we saw The Wants open for Nation of Language at a little venue in Atlanta. Holy sh*t what a show. Easily ranks in my top 5 for just pure energy and crowd engagement.

OnI love that beeping noise-hook, it’s so rudely out of place, it’s cool. These guys blow Sonic Youth away. Plus, one of the Wongs I think the singer collaborated with Jay Reatard on numerous bands tours recordings and vice versa. If Jay kept a rocker around for that long that says a lot as he was so mercurial.
