The change at economy 2.0 removes the rent too high but in doing so you get the problems and no indication of what is wrong Good video! Guess I need to start a new city.

My city has reached 570K pops, and my Gaming Notebook seems not be able to handle the computation of the pops. Even more, there are still plenty of spaces for future development whereas i think it can support a minimum 1.5 million population…

Thanks man, deleting cargo terminals(without deleting depo) and spamming mail boxes helped. Built terminals back, will check how it will work.

@ChasetotheFinish - UPDATE - Follow these steps Step 1 - Save Your Game - Alternate File Step 2 - Delete Cargo Harbor and Cargo Terminal. IF you have multiple terminals, I suggest you remove several. In my test I removed the one and only Cargo Shipping and two Cargo Train terminals Step 3 - Delete ALL of your Cargo lines, can always recreate them Step 4 - Save your game to the alternate file, EXIT the game entirely Step 5 - Relaunch the game and load your Alternate file you just saved to. Step 6 - Hit the Game Speed, set it to max, and open up the mail menu, now if you watch closely, mail trucks will start to now just flood the city and your main processing speed will start to steadily pickup. Annoying we have to do this, but hey it works.

This isn’t working for me. I had a block with tons of people saying rent was too high. I rezoned it to row homes, but nothing is being built. But this area also has low land volume, which is odd as to why they were saying rent is too high. Any tips?

what kind of cpu temps do you get? i got to 140k popultion and cant continue because my cpu runs close to 80% usage and 90c. game should be optimized better

hey i think you kinda cover it but don't spell it out exactly - one reason why higher density residential is more affordable is because there is more people paying for the same slice of land. great video btw this has been really annoying me in my game. i got the idea behind low residential but some of my areas area red for medium these days. right near my ultra busy downtown area. I found it weird that even medium resi was red level suitability!

what do you do when your industrial buildings are abandoned but demand is high? I use the mod to called EXTENDED TOOLTIP and it shows they are making a loss. These industrial areas are next to cargo train stations... Does industrial need to be near the commercial low density?

Ive been doing runs where I ignore low density when I get to that point that I unlock it. then just keep education maximum priority asap and tax the hell out of uneducated. I feel I am doing stuff wrong because I have 10k but low density res is through the damn roof and I do not want low res.... is that something I have to put up with or do I have a way of fighting it? theres lots of zones for medium density but they are vacant and I have pop ups about no enough customers, not enough workers and "unoccupied buildings" just always getting stuck here

Pro tip: It always helps to know what each setting actually does b4 you start messing with them... If you don't, then don't, and stick to the generic Low, Medium, High presets. Or, look them up and learn.

I had the same problem, go to settings do all low and then go back to the game, then close the game go to desktop restart your computer. After restarting your PC go to the game settings again and go all high at 2560 x 1440p resolution. I know it makes no sense but for me it worked fine. I,m playing with an Rtx 3060 and intel i5 11400, 32gb ram
