Alternative to dropping the exhaust manifold, you can also remove the brace between the subframe and the radiator support (requires dropping front bumper) and then remove the oil pick up pipe after the sump is dropped down enough. Probably an equal amount of effort, but I was already doing front control arms, so saved me dropping the exhaust as well.
