What is a good one for a bass player?
@NoahHirschy5 ай бұрын
The Shure PSM300 would be a great option or if you want the best of the best (IMO) the Sennheiser G4 IEM system would be great as well.
@indi21746 ай бұрын
So it basically one ears 👂 # mono .. am I correct? Because a mono can turn into stario. Diy
@alexgreenling2 ай бұрын
Mono as in same audio is being played in both ears, vs a stereo system where you can adjust what you hear in each ear separately.
@DrewJarrod6 ай бұрын
Thanks for the review! I want to invest in my first IEM system - should I spend money on a mono-only system like the ptm 33 with 4 receivers right out the gate (and then upgrade to a stereo system later), or should I start and keep a stereo system like the PTM 10 and then get 4 belt pack receivers with that? Thanks!
@NoahHirschy5 ай бұрын
If you are wanting to use 4 receivers on the same transmitter I would suggest getting two STEREO IEM transmitters so that way each receiver can have their own custom mono mix. Basically the L channel is a custom mix and the R channel is a custom mix on each transmitter. This allows for 2 performers to have their own mono mix without having to each have a transmitter. Basically this saves you from having to purchase two more transmitters. I hope this makes sense! 😅
@SteinarLundemo4 ай бұрын
Sounds tedious. So 2 ppl share a transmitter? Means they are tethered together with cables. Better save up for 4 bodypacks imo.
@NoahHirschy4 ай бұрын
@@SteinarLundemo haha no everybody would have their own body pack transmitter, they just would be sharing receivers. With the stereo receiver you can set it up where the L side would be one persons mono mix and the R side would be another person’s mono mix. This is a pretty common thing with stereo wireless iem systems, I’m sure there are videos showing how to do this if you need to know more.
@luisrequinto106 ай бұрын
Ptm-10 vs ptm-11 which is better?
@NoahHirschy6 ай бұрын
It really just depends on your need, if you need a stereo mix then the PTM 10 is the obvious choice, but in regards to audio quality between the two they are very similar.

Any issues/concern with quality of the Monoprice snake ? I believe these are Aluminum Copper Clad vs full copper.

@@IagoVital I sadly haven’t yet :\ I’ve used the rack for a mobile recording rig more then anything here lately.

Hey, great video! I’m in the process of acquiring parts to build an IEM rig based around an X32 rack mixer. I also bought two S8-3way splitters. I have a couple of Sennheiser G4 wireless units and still need to get a couple of more things before the rack is complete and usable. Since I’ve never used a rig like this before, what is the typical protocol when it comes to connecting to FOH. Do I bring my own 16 XLR cable snake that I plug into the other split outputs on the S8 and hand the labeled tails to the sound guy or do they use their own cable snake to plug into my S8 splitters? Thanks man, and keep it up!
@NoahHirschy11 ай бұрын
Thanks for the kind words! And that’s awesome that you are building your own IEM rig as well! In regards to sending your split signal to the FOH there is a couple of ways to do it, you can either have a labeled patchbay where front of house plugs into it with there own cables or do a labeled 16 channel snake like you mentioned above. There is no right or wrong answer just whichever works best for you and is the most efficient. 🤘
@Jason-Taylor11 ай бұрын
@@NoahHirschy Right on, I appreciate the reply! Yeah, that’s what I was thinking but wanted to hear from someone who is already using this sort of rig. I wasn’t sure if the FOH guy would expect me to hand him tails already connected to my splits or he’d use his own cables to plug into our rig. Like you said, there’s probably not a right or wrong way, just whichever works best for everyone. Thanks again!! 🤘🏻
@IagoVital10 ай бұрын
@@Jason-Taylor While I agree with both of you on whichever works, I would actually advise on having your own 5m labeled channel snake just in case: It can work for either having a guaranteed solution for the FOH split signal from your own rack or you can use it as a low-profile stage channel-labeled patchbay going to your rack hidden behind something while your own rack can be off stage (faster loading/unloading time which can make a world of difference for the previous or next band of the event).
@mario23sb Жыл бұрын
Quick question, why do you have a patch bay in the back for FOH to plug into when the S8 3-way has outputs in the front?
@NoahHirschy Жыл бұрын
Personal preference, there is already a bunch of cables going into the front of the rack through the S8 splitters so having a dedicated spot in the back to send the signals to the FOH is just cleaner and a bit easier for me. This also leaves the extra splits in the front available in case you wanted to send the signals elsewhere (perhaps another interface for some high quality multitracking 🤷♂️).

In the night sky, in the wide KZbin world like the Milky Way, I accidentally met your video as beautiful as a star and enjoyed it as if in a dream. It makes my heart flutter because I have a feeling that your video, which I feel was made with unsparing sincerity, will soon receive a lot of love. I love your video the first time I see it. Whether it's a coincidence or a coincidence based on an unknown, mysterious algorithm, I opened my KZbin window and your thumbnail caught my eye. The moment I first saw your video, it made my heart flutter and made me happy. I am sitting by the window with dark eyes like the night colored by the stars in the night sky, reminiscing on faded memories and watching your videos. As I watch your wonderful videos, my heart keeps falling over and over as if it is moving. I came across your video on my way to KZbin on my way to a long and distant KZbin road. It seems like there is a KZbinr who wants to become a fan after a long time. There are emotions that cannot be expressed in words in this short video. You have the ability to make your videos instantly stunning and attractive. Thank you to the algorithm that made it possible to watch good videos, I hope that you will succeed as you have worked hard for your dreams. In the KZbin world, meeting your video is like an accidental meeting among countless videos like grains of sand on a wide beach. Your video shines the most in my KZbin window right now. KZbin is flowing endlessly on my small channel boat over the huge and far-off sea. I am very fortunate to have found your video while rowing a small paddle and going endlessly and endlessly. In this harsh KZbin world, even if the cold rain and wind blows and everything falls like fallen leaves, I will forever leave only your video in my memory. Your video is the best video. I was so happy to see your video on KZbin.

I ordered mine directly from Veritas, although I have been seeing that they are not taking as many orders anymore due to them being so overwhelmed by orders. That being said another great option it to try and snag a used one on Reverb, they pop up on there every now and then and you can usually save a bit going that way, I actually sold mine on there as I no longer have this guitar. I’m currently just using my Gretsch double cut silver falcon as my guitar.
