Well, that was soooo tough! A gentle swerve around 1 ball, to hit a ball hanging over the pocket... Ultimate Pool, is this REALLY the best you can come up with!!?? I'm an average pub player, and I'd fancy making that shot more than 60/70% of the time, so a pro player closer to 90/95%!!

No matter what you’re attempting the finish here with the black over the pocket. The plant needed to be made into the yellows he rolled up to. Low percentage but a better choice than safety. Even the up and down with check side was a simple enough shot to pot the black. Not aggressive enough

Awful safety shot. 8 hanging over the pocket, you HAVE to fancy yourself to make the clearance there. Either that or play a watertight safety. I’ve seen better safeties at the club on a Tuesday

Agree it was a terrible safety but if you look at where he was he had no opening pot for a clearance, should have rolled up to the yellow below the left middle

@@bmac7885double to the middle right was on, but obviously that’s a relatively low percentage shot. I bet he makes it 7/10 times though, and it’s certainly better than giving a half assed safety that leaves the 8 on. Like you said though, much better to play a solid safety

I did this twice last year. From my time playing pool i can definitely tell you this is a rarity! Before last year, the last time i achieved this fate was in 2009 or 10 lol Over the years i havent played no where near as often as once upon a time, but I’ve still played enough without ever potting the black from a break.
