I love how they couldn't move the donkey, so they shifted the track 2 feet away from the donkey.

I think, it is any comedy movie with this replic buildt Stephensons Rocket locomotive ( original from 1829 year come vith visit 56km/ h!). And ir have ONLY first double- wheel drive! First Richard Trevithick's patent locomotive ( from 1804 year) was with all 4 wheels drive!!!

What was the first song? I like the sound of it. Also, What a funny looking Stephenson's Rocket. I heard it was poorly built/didn’t look fully like the Rocket to make it light enough to go over all over those obstacles and the tracks. Anyways, if anyone knows the first song played in this vid, let me know pls! Edit: I’m the 900th comment and I didn’t know it

The original English right of way, wasn't anything like the Oregon operating conditions! That same area, was used for the GENERAL,which came later! Keaton, like Stan Laurel, was a master,at comedic timing! Nuff said, thank you! Thank you 😇!

My all time favourite locomotive. Crazy that it was nearly 100 years old when this was being made.

We'll end up like this if we stop at every retard ecology and bug to build infrastructure! Trump is right, pollute and consume as much as you can. He and his father didn't become filthy rich for being stupid!

Weird comments. People don't realize this a comedy and think it's real. The engine is a gas-powered fake.

As mentioned by others, these are scenes from the Buster Keaton movie "Our Hospitality", invented for comic effect (and not actually a documentary). The train later appeared (and was partly destroyed) in a film "The Iron Mule", directed by Roscoe Arbuckle under a pseudonym. Buster Keaton was involved, though uncredited.

I grew up observing the oil islands from my grandparents' 3rd floor condo on 2nd Street. They had a huge picture window with an unobstructed view of the ocean (and the nearest of the oil islands) and I would always use their binoculars to watch the goings on. We always knew them as the oil islands, though, never as THUMS.

Three or four eps of S1 were great as they were feeling their way out of 1960s TV. The second season was a significant improving but mostly crap too, looking back 40 years at at. The turn around for TNG was the first Borg ep
